• Develop and manage a distributor network by collaborating with internal teams and converting existing distributors into more efficient operations. • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key distributor and customer stakeholders to enhance collaboration and service delivery. • Identify and resolve operational inefficiencies through data-driven analysis, on-site visits, and implementation of corrective action plans (CAPs). • Drive sales performance and support distributor product knowledge by creating targeted action plans, coordinating trainings, and generating customer-focused proposals. • Ensure compliance and communication across the distribution network by reporting activities in Salesforce, communicating pricing/product updates, and supporting audits and quality initiatives. • Travel frequently, 50%+
Role Description We are seeking a seasoned Account Manager to take ownership of a key relationship with one of our OEM partners. This high-impact role calls for a strong communicator who can effectively align priorities across both the OEM and field teams. A solid understanding of dealership fixed operations is essential. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in shaping and executing strategic initiatives that drive growth, strengthen partnerships, and deliver measurable results. Location - Remote – work from home What you’ll be doing (a Day in the Life): - Lead and execute strategic sales plans, including setting targets, tracking performance, and communicating progress to C-level leadership. - Serve as the primary account leader, building strong customer relationships while aligning solutions to client business objectives and market needs. - Manage and develop a remote field team, including performance management, goal setting, and driving overall sales results. - Drive business growth through account management, pricing strategy, negotiations, and identifying new opportunities in the market. - Monitor industry trends and customer dynamics to adapt strategies, support product positioning, and contribute to long-term business and brand development. Travel requirements: - Available for travel across the United States on a regular basis (50% minimum) Qualifications - Experience: 6+ years in sales, 5+ years in account management, and 8+ years in the automotive industry. - Communication & Leadership: Strong executive-level communication and presentation skills, with the ability to lead, coach, and inspire teams. - Technical & Industry Expertise: Deep knowledge of automotive lubricants and how they serve dealership fixed operations. - Sales & Strategy Skills: Proven success developing sales strategies, leading direct reports, managing complex negotiations, and delivering customer-focused solutions. - Tools & Execution: Advanced proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce), with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
