Role Description The Senior Director, Enterprise Strategy Execution & Integration serves as the Chief of Staff's primary partner for enterprise strategy stewardship, execution oversight, and cross-organizational integration. Reporting directly to the Chief of Staff, this role ensures that IEEE's strategic plan, Board and presidential direction, and innovation investments are translated into coordinated, disciplined execution across the organization. This role combines enterprise strategy stewardship with execution integration. It maintains the integrity of the strategic plan while ensuring that priorities are actionable, sequenced appropriately, and aligned across organizational units. The position operates with delegated authority from the Chief of Staff and serves as the central integrator across strategy, innovation, governance, and execution. The role does not own delivery within organizational units. Its purpose is to ensure alignment, clarity, accountability, and follow-through at the enterprise level. Core Purpose: To ensure IEEE's strategy, Board direction, and innovation investments are coherent, prioritized, measurable, and executed effectively across the organization. Job Summary This position provides support for programs associated with IEEE conformity assessment initiatives. IEEE currently operates a variety of conformity programs and projects based on IEEE Standards across diverse technology areas such as telecom, distributed energy, cybersecurity and consumer electronics. The individual in this role will be engaged in day to day operations of these programs, as well as supporting the research for new conformity programs. They will interact frequently with volunteer technical experts in each program, prepare and present technical materials supporting program activities, and engage with internal staff to manage business operations. In this position, the individual will also develop program assessment protocols for evaluation and improvement. They will maintain organizational standards of satisfaction, quality, and performance, as well as manage budget and funding channels for maximum productivity. This role will support the Director for conformity programs and manages 0 direct reports though may be required to manage some contractors from time to time. This role requires familiarity with conformity assessment best practices, regulatory landscape, quality system audits, product testing, interoperability, and standards, as well as the ability to work comfortably across multiple technical sectors, and familiarity with emerging technology areas. The role will support projects and programs with general oversight from the Director. The incumbent is expected to provide general recommendations based on the analysis. Key Responsibilities - Overall responsibility for the development, revision and operational management of department quality manuals and associated quality system procedures and policy documents - Responsible for the recording, analysis and monthly/quarterly reporting of financial data associated with their assigned ICAP programs - Responsible for the recording, product analysis, trend analysis and performance-tracking of all assigned ICAP programs - Recruits new members, identify and manage key resources required to progress initiatives which may include, test plan development, interoperability plugfests, pilot testing and/or educational workshops - Engages with conformity assessment program leaders and technical expert groups o Organize and facilitate meetings with technical expert groups - Able to research and develop concise business plans for relevant products and services - Ability to rapidly learn new technologies, and supervise development of relevant test plans, test tools and laboratory audit requirements - o Prepares technical and procedural materials in support of program operations with minimal supervision.
