Sales Engineer

Role Description The Getac Compute Sales Engineer is responsible for technical engagement across the entire pre-sales and post-sales lifecycle for Getac’s rugged computing products, in-car video systems, body-worn video solutions, and supporting backend infrastructure. This includes running customer trials, validating solution performance, and supporting deployments to ensure a successful technical outcome. This role serves as the primary technical advisor to Regional Sales Managers (RSMs), customers, and partners. The Sales Engineer conducts product demonstrations, leads technical discovery, executes trials, provides solution recommendations, and delivers post-sales troubleshooting across both Compute and Video technologies. The ideal candidate is comfortable in customer-facing environments, confident with hands-on technical work, and able to translate complex requirements into practical solutions. Qualifications - A college degree is helpful but not required; equivalent hands-on technical experience is acceptable. - CompTIA A+ is required (or obtained within 90 days of hire) and must remain current. - Additional certifications such as MSCE, networking, cloud, or video systems are helpful. - 1–5 years of pre-sales or post-sales technical engineering experience in rugged computing, in-car video, body-worn video, mobile technology, or related fields. - Experience working directly with field sales teams, engineering, end-customers, and third-party partners. Requirements - Prepare and deliver product demonstrations for Compute and Video solutions, both onsite and remote. - Run and manage customer trials, including setup, configuration, field testing, data collection, and follow-up reporting. - Represent Getac at customer meetings, trials, trade shows, conferences, and industry events. - Maintain accurate project updates, trial documentation, and technical activities within Salesforce and FTIE. - Support technical sections of RFQs/RFPs by providing accurate, solution-specific responses. - Travel throughout the assigned region and across the U.S.; international travel as required. - Communicate technical findings clearly to overseas engineering teams and internal R&D. - Manage escalations, investigate issues, and coordinate custom solution requests for Compute and Video products. - Own all technical responsibilities for assigned customer accounts during evaluations, trials, deployments, and post-sales support. - Troubleshoot computer hardware, video systems, backend servers, firmware, WLAN/WWAN offload, and data workflows. - Gather customer requirements and translate them into clear engineering and product requests. - Understand needs across the Public Safety vertical and communicate field trends to Product Management and R&D. - Prioritize workload across multiple RSMs and customers based on urgency, scope, and business impact. - Must be a U.S. Citizen or Naturalized Citizen for secure site access. Field Service Engineer

Role Description Getac has an opportunity for a Field Service Engineer to join the team and provide post-sales technical support for Getac products and solutions at customer sites across the U.S. and Canada. The Field Service Engineer has a strong commitment to customer satisfaction, with the ability to identify, analyze, and communicate technical and business issues effectively throughout the post-sales process. - Able to provide technical service support for all company products including software configurations, wireless infrastructure, in-car video solution, and vehicle docking stations. - Provide excellent customer service and phone etiquette in handling key accounts and building account relationships. - Maintain positive professional relationships with all end-customers, sales, and vendors/resellers. - Able to travel for post-field sales support activities with customers. - Responsible for timely, accurate, and detailed communication and tracking of projects via internal systems. - Collaborate with internal teams on a daily basis. - Escalate issues in a timely manner. - Identify all technical issues of assigned customer accounts to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the post-sales process. - Must be able to follow-up and use technical capabilities to support customer post-sales issues. - Able to travel throughout the US and Canadian sales territory. - Requires travel 50-75% of the time within US and Canada. Qualifications - Previous networking experience and certification is a plus. - Strong verbal and written communication skills are required. - OS/Image builds -- INF drivers, system drivers, BIOS, encryption, etc. Microsoft Certification is a plus. - Experience supporting end-user installation, configuration, upgrades, and migration. - Hardware and Software: Experience with technology in vehicles to include in-car video and body worn cameras or laptops, tablets, handhelds, and mobile devices. - Use of computer systems, MS Office is required. - Prior experience in a technical support role or project management. - Ideal Candidate will be located in Southwest territory (AZ, TX, OK). Role Description Getac North America is seeking a Business Development Representative (BDR) to drive strategic growth by targeting, recruiting, and managing select Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) and Independent Hardware Vendors (IHVs) servicing Enterprise Fortune 500 and Federal DoD markets for the rugged mobility market. This role will focus on promoting integration of rugged compute solutions and body-worn cameras into partner solutions. The position is remote, with a preference for candidates located in southern California or near a major airport city. - Identify, engage, and manage ISVs and IHVs in Enterprise Fortune 500 and Federal DoD sectors. - Develop and maintain strong relationships with technology partners to integrate with rugged computing and body-worn camera solutions. - Collaborate with internal teams to align partner strategies with Getac’s product roadmap. - Drive new business opportunities through proactive outreach and strategic account planning. - Represent Getac at industry events, conferences, and partner meetings as needed.
