Fusion Academy’s Post-Secondary Counselors (PSC) work one-on-one with students, guiding them as they explore their futures and develop strategic plans to achieve their goals beyond high school. We’re seeking passionate professionals who lead with heart and are dedicated to providing personalized support to help students pursue their dreams. Ideal candidates live in the Southeast district and have professional experience working with high school students on college and post-secondary planning. The District Lead Post-Secondary Counselor is a full-time, salaried leadership role within our nationwide team of PSCs. This position supports ten Fusion Academy campuses in the Southeast and reports directly to the PSC Manager (East). At Fusion Academy, we’re changing lives—one student at a time. Join our growing network of College and Career Readiness experts and make a lasting impact today!   Essential Responsibilities Include: Student Support and 1:1 Counseling - Provide a dynamic virtual 1:1 teaching and counseling experience to students via credit-bearing Post Secondary preparation courses, and non credit-bearing Post Secondary Counseling enrichment packages using Canvas and Scoir.  - Mentor students in exploring post-secondary options: 4-year college or university, 2-year junior or community college, gap year, vocational and tech or trade schools, apprenticeships, military, or direct to career, and more!  - Navigate and utilize college and career readiness tools like SCOIR, YouScience to identify student aptitudes, interests, and abilities and link them to their future goals.  - Read, analyze, and interpret transcripts, GPA's, and other academic records to make recommendations and provide guidance for college or university prospects.  - For College Bound students; provide comprehensive support through the college application and admissions process, standardized test preparation plans, developing personal statement and supplemental essays, assist in distributing financial planning resources as needed, and more! Craft detailed counselor letters of recommendation and successfully navigate the college application materials submission process for students on your active roster.  - Communicate effectively with colleges and universities to ensure admission requirements have been met for college-bound Fusion students.  - For Non - College Bound students, assist with resume building, interview techniques, career preparation, and developing professional presence.  - Connect and collaborate with the Nationwide Post Secondary Counseling team, supporting over 80 Fusion Academy campuses across the country and Fusion Global Academy.    Annual PSC Consultations and Outreach - Deliver and manage annual 30-minute PSC consultations for all full-time families in the district annually - Oversee the distribution of outreach materials to families, to inform and engage them in PSC Services at Fusion  - Track consultation outcomes and follow-ups in Salesforce/ SIS for comprehensive reporting.    PSC Programming and Events Coordination - Collaborate with district campuses to organize and host unique college and career events; virtual or in-person college and career fairs, virtual PSC webinars, local college and university tours.  - Develop and maintain a calendar of PSC-related opportunities accessible to all district campuses.  - Support with the distribution of the Senior Exit Survey for district campuses and data collection.    Professional Development and Outreach:  - Attend local, regional, or national PSC-related conferences within the approved budget.  - Expand the PSC Contacts List by adding at least five qualified higher education or career professionals annually.  - Connect with campus leadership to address specific campus needs and ensure stakeholder satisfaction.    PSC Meetings, Internal Collaboration and Mentorship  - Collaboration is key on the PSC team as we leverage the experience and expertise of our nationwide team! - Connect with the team during scheduled monthly meeting rhythms and consistent 1:1's with the PSC Manager - Actively engage in Fusion Academy district/ national; positional calls as needed, contributing to district-wide strategies and initiatives specific to PSC. - Mentor other PSCs on the team   Performance Indicators - Support and maintain a caseload of students enrolled in PSC services - Build strong, trusted relationships with campus administrators and teams - Ensure timely submission of documentation, including daily summaries, file checks, and college application processes.  - Exceed district engagement goals for PSC consultations and college/career event participation.  - Meet standards for professional development, outreach, and engagement in PSC meetings.  - Comfortable making PSC service recommendations to Fusion families    Preferred Qualifications and Certifications: - 3–5+ years of experience in College and Post-Secondary Counseling, School Leadership/Administration, College and Career Readiness, Educational Consulting, or Higher Education & Admissions Counseling. - Advanced degree (MA, MS, MEd, or higher) in School Counseling, Educational Psychology, Education, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field. - Licensure or Certification: Licensed Professional School Counselor and/or College Counseling Certificate preferred.   Ideal Candidate Profile: - Expertise in the college admissions process with a strong ability to guide students through the complex college search, application, and decision-making journey using systems like Scoir. - Comprehensive knowledge of alternative post-secondary pathways (e.g., vocational programs, apprenticeships, gap year opportunities) and the ability to support students exploring workforce entry or internships. - Passion for working with adolescents and a dynamic caseload, with a strong commitment to nurturing, mentoring, and empowering students to achieve their post-secondary goals. - Experience supporting neurodivergent students, with an understanding of their unique needs in post-secondary planning. - Outgoing, well-organized, and entrepreneurial mindset, with a leadership style rooted in compassion and encouragement. - Strong virtual communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build trust, rapport, and meaningful relationships in a remote work environment.   At Fusion Academy, culture is crucial! Senior Data Engineer – Data and Analytics (Remote) Fusion Education Group is seeking a curious and tenaciously driven individual to lead data and analytics architecture for a data-aware organization. This opportunity will report to the Manager of Data and Analytics and provide mentorship to a small team of Data Engineers and Visualization Developers. This opening requires excellent planning, coordination, and communication skills. As a Senior Data Engineer at Fusion Education Group you will oversee the design, development, and implementation of data and analytics for the company’s data ecosystem. You will be responsible for the entire development lifecycle, appreciating and translating the needs of the user and ensuring the final product meets their expectations while upholding department and company standards. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will architect, build, and optimize the data infrastructure that powers advanced analytics, machine learning, and business intelligence across the organization. You’ll leverage the latest Azure Data Lake architecture, AI services, and cloud-native tools, collaborating with AI Engineers, Data Engineers, Data Analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable, and secure data solutions. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Design, architect and operate modern data platforms on Azure - Architect and maintain data lakes/lakehouses with Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS) and Databricks. - Establish robust ELT patterns using Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipelines with a focus on cost, performance, and reliability. - Lead the full lifecycle—from prototyping to production deployment, including pipelines, APIs, front/back-end integration, monitoring, and maintenance. - Design scalable, reliable systems; optimize performance, latency, cost, and integrate telemetry for iterative improvement - Build intelligent data products using Azure AI - Productionize ML workflows in Azure Machine Learning (workspaces, model registry, endpoints. - Integrate Azure Cognitive Services (Language, Vision, Speech) and Azure OpenAI Service for enrichment, classification, summarization, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG). - Orchestrate LLM applications using Azure ML pipelines, implementing guardrails, prompt versioning, and telemetry. - Deliver low-latency feature stores and micro-batch ingestion for ML and BI workloads. - Data modeling, quality, and observability - Define canonical and dimensional models; enforce standards (naming, lineage, SCD patterns) across marts and semantic layers (e.g., Power BI/Fabric). - Security, compliance, and governance (MCP best practices) - Apply Azure RBAC, Managed Identities, Private Endpoints, Key Vault, and Customer-Managed Keys; enforce policy with Azure Policy and Defender for Cloud. - Performance, reliability, and FinOps - Tune Databricks compute, caching, partitioning, Z-order, and query plans; optimize storage tiers and autoscaling. - Monitor SLOs/SLIs with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and custom metrics; build cost dashboards and alerts for proactive FinOps. - Collaboration, enablement, and leadership - Partner with business units on projects to define scope and deliverables; enable self-service via curated datasets and semantic models. - Mentor engineers on Microsoft stack best practices; contribute to standards, templates, and reusable components aligned with Microsoft certifications (e.g., Azure Data Engineer, Azure AI Engineer). Required Skills & Qualifications - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. - 5+ years of experience in data engineering or AI/ML production systems. - Advanced proficiency in Databricks and at least one programming language (Python, Scala, or Java). - Knowledge in implementing, fine-tuning, and deploying LLMs. - Strong capabilities in API development, version control, unit testing, and documentation. - Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203) and/or Azure AI Engineer Associate (AI-102) strongly preferred; MCP/MCSA/MCSE or equivalent legacy Microsoft certifications a plus. - Hands-on experience with modern data pipeline orchestration tools (Azure Data Factory). - Deep knowledge of Azure data and AI services (Azure Data Lake, Azure Machine Learning, Azure Cognitive Services, Azure OpenAI). - Strong understanding of data modeling, warehousing, and data lake architecture. - Experience with DevOps practices and version control (Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD). - Excellent communication and collaboration skills. - Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) or relevant Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Data Engineer Associate, Azure AI Engineer Associate) are highly preferred. - Mentor Data Analytics Team members with best practices in the data space. - Current with industry trends in data engineering, Azure AI, and cloud platforms. Preferred Skills - Experience deploying machine learning models to production using Azure ML. - Exposure to real-time data streaming (Azure Event Hubs, Kafka). - Exposure to Model Context Protocol (MCP) and AI agents.
