Role Description Forward Edge-AI is seeking a highly motivated Electrical Engineer Intern to support research, integration, and testing efforts within our Advanced Research & Development team. This role is ideal for a senior undergraduate or graduate student interested in RF systems, communications technologies, and system integration. - The intern will work alongside cross-functional engineering teams to develop test plans, support system integration, analyze performance data, and contribute to documentation and process improvements. Key Responsibilities - RF Systems Integration & Testing - Support the development and execution of integration and test plans for RF and communications systems. - Assist in configuring and testing software-defined radio (SDR) platforms. - Participate in system-level integration activities across hardware and software components. - Data Analysis & Reporting - Analyze test data and system performance results. - Translate findings into clear reports, presentations, and actionable recommendations. - Support performance evaluation and optimization efforts. - Cross-Functional Collaboration - Collaborate with hardware, software, and systems engineering teams. - Help define interface requirements and resolve integration challenges. - Support troubleshooting and validation efforts across system components. - Documentation & Process Support - Document key processes, procedures, and test results with high accuracy. - Support development of technical documentation and integration workflows. - Assist in identifying opportunities for process improvement and optimization. Qualifications - Currently a senior undergraduate or Master’s student in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. - Experience working with software-defined radios (SDR). - Experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, or MATLAB. - Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy. - Analytical mindset with interest in systems integration and process optimization. - Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Preferred Qualifications - Exposure to RF systems, signal processing, or communications engineering. - Experience with testing and integration of hardware/software systems. - Familiarity with lab equipment or simulation tools. - Interest in defense, communications, or advanced technology systems.
