Title: Instructor of Applied Behavior Analysis Location: Melbourne United States Job Description: The Instructor of Applied Behavior Analysis will work directly with the ABA Online program to support students' success and instructor management within the program, including certificate and master's programs. The instructor will conduct synchronous online instructional meetings, and facilitate student learning via student engagement and discussion. They will also provide substitute coverage for ABA Online instructors who must miss a scheduled class meeting due to an unforseen emergency and when other coverage options are not possible. Instructors will also assist Lead Instructors with course management, conduct reviews of proctoring software, and support future mentor and advising initiatives for student success. Flexible scheduling, including working evenings and weekends, may be required. Successful candidates are expected to: - Teach assigned sections (up to 40 credit hours of instruction) for the ABA Online program. This includes conducting all online meetings as scheduled and ensuring they start and end on time; preparing teaching materials; promoting student engagement; responding to student messages; entering student attendance; and monitoring student progress. Provide support in class coverage when a substitute instructor is needed, when availability and previous training in the course material align. - Provide academic support for lead instructors and students. Respond to student and instructor questions and escalated issues, assist with grading tasks, and review proctored assessment recordings. Monitor and respond to student questions on the course discussion board. Conduct open office hours and/or exam review sessions for students, supervise student mentoring by doctoral students or senior master's students - Support other faculty members in tasks related to obtaining and maintaining accreditation of the ABA Online program. - Work remotely, including evenings and weekends, and attend on-campus meetings up to 6 times per year. Minimum Qualifications: Maintain certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Board Certified Behavior Analyst-Doctoral Level (BCBA-D) in good standing. Master's degree in behavior analysis or related field. University teaching experience. Desired Qualifications: Ph.D. degree in related field History of research and publication. Experience with learning management systems and virtual communication technology. Position Overview The Florida Institute of Technology seeks a Women’s Business Center (WBC) Program Director to lead and manage the SBA-funded Women’s Business Center housed within the Florida Tech Bisk College of Business in Melbourne, Florida. This is a full-time position primarily on-site, with flexibility for remote work. The role requires flexibility, including occasional evening and weekend hours to support client training and special events. The WBC Program Director serves as the Principal Investigator for the federal WBC grant and is responsible for program financial and operational oversight, compliance, sustainability planning, and high-quality service delivery to entrepreneurial clients. The position reports to the weVENTURE WBC Executive Director and works closely with Florida Tech’s Budget Office, the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Office of Women’s Business Ownership (OWBO). Essential Duties and Responsibilities Grant Administration & Compliance - Administer the SBA federal grant in full compliance with the program announcement, Notice of Award (NOA), federal regulations, statutes, and applicable statutes. - Serve as Principal Investigator for the WBC federal grant. - Ensure timely, accurate submission of all required programmatic and financial reports to SBA OWBO. - Coordinate and support all SBA programmatic reviews, financial examinations, audits, and accreditation or certification processes. - Participate in required SBA activities, including webinars, conference calls, training sessions, surveys, and the Association of Women’s Business Centers (AWBC) annual conference. - Maintain responsiveness to SBA correspondence and ensure all OWBO communications are shared with appropriate weVENTURE and Florida Tech personnel. - Notify OWBO and the SBA District Office Technical Representative (DOTR) of any changes to WBC or host organization contact information. Financial Management & Reporting - Develop and administer budgets across weVENTURE programs and grants (federal and non-federal) - Oversee the WBC payroll and operating budget, including tracking expenditures and ensuring fiscal accountability, under the direction of the Executive Director. - Review, approve, and co-sign WBC-related expenditures, invoices, purchase requests, bank drafts, ledgers, reimbursement requests, effort certifications and match certifications, in coordination with OSP and the Executive Director. - Maintain accurate and complete financial records related to WBC expenditures and prepare semi-annual SBA Reports. Quarterly in HHS/PMS and Nexus Uploads, reviewed by OSP and the Executive Director prior to submission, per SBA requirements. - Lead response and engagement with SBA auditors (every 3 years), including the preparation and submission of required documentation. Program Oversight & Sustainability - Direct the overall implementation and continuous improvement of the WBC program to ensure achievement of grant deliverables. - Lead efforts focused on financial and operational sustainability of the WBC project. - Develop and implement internal policies and procedures aligned with federal requirements, university requirements and WBC best practices. - Ensure accurate collection, maintenance, and reporting of client data, programmatic outcomes, and other data as required for SBA compliance. Partnerships & External Relations - Coordinate with SBA and other local, regional, and federal resource partners to maximize impact and avoid duplication of services. - Collaborate with the SBA District Office and OWBO on goal-setting for the annual workplan. - Maintain strong working relationships with the SBA District Director, DOTR, and OWBO Program Manager throughout the award period. - Disseminate information on SBA programs, products, initiatives, and services to staff, partners, and clients. - Represent weVENTURE and the WBC at community events, partner meetings, and public functions as needed. Education & Professional Qualifications Required Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field. - Knowledge of entrepreneurship and new business development. - Experience supervising staff, evaluating performance, and managing work schedules. - Accounting experience required; grant management experience strongly preferred. - Experience with organizational budgeting, nonprofit accounting, and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Preferred Qualifications - Prior business ownership or entrepreneurial experience. - Experience administering government or industry-funded contracts or grants. - Familiarity with federal contract and grant compliance requirements. - Experience with Workday Financial Systems. - Experience teaching or coaching in business or related fields.
