Role Description Under the direction of the AVP, US Region Operations, the Coordinator provides vital administrative support by developing and implementing efficient protocols for managing and tracking projects, expenses, invoices, and contract management, scheduling, and meeting and event planning for projects designed to help advance the goals of EDF’s Political Affairs Team. Role Description The Digital Insights Specialist will be an integral player on the Audience Insights Team, one of three groups comprising the Performance Marketing Team at EDF. This position will help improve the effectiveness of EDF’s marketing and communications by working with various data sources to help the team understand our target audiences and the digital conversations that affect them. PCS are a set of marine carbon dioxide removal methods that attempt to manipulate aspects of the ocean’s biological carbon pump to enhance carbon sequestration in the ocean. The selected candidate will develop and manage a portfolio of research projects and partnerships, conduct research of their own relevant to the program, and contribute to EDF’s overall ocean and climate science capacity. Reporting to the Associate Vice President, Ocean Science, the successful candidate will collaborate with other EDF scientists, economists, and policy experts as well as scientists and organizations external to EDF. Role Description The Senior Manager, Texas Clean Affordable Power leads EDF’s regulatory advocacy in support of clean energy in Texas. Role Description Under the supervision of the Manager, Prospect Research, the Specialist, Prospect Research researches, analyzes, and recommends strategy on donors and prospective donors with Major Gift capacity. - Partners with Major Gift Officers and Foundation Officers on strategy. - Assists with special projects, including: - Prospect movement and pipeline management. - Relationship mapping. - Identifying prospective donors for specific programs. - Conducts reactive research and prepares briefing materials for Executive & Development Staff for events and meetings, focusing on: - Constituents’ wealth. - Interests (including philanthropic interests). - Relationships. - Manages research needs for Mission Staff’s meetings with donors. - Assesses capacity, interests, philanthropy, and relationships to identify and qualify new prospective donors and assess new opportunities with existing donors through: - Research on prospective donors suggested by staff and volunteers. - Research on Membership donors with major gift potential from wealth screening results. - Mission-specific and regional prospecting and mapping. - External resources including: - Foundation Directory Online. - Chronicle of Philanthropy. - Inside Philanthropy. - Participates in advancing EDF Organizational Effectiveness and Culture goals, ensuring inclusivity and empowerment for all backgrounds and experiences. Qualifications - Associate degree or equivalent in a relevant field with at least 3 years relevant experience; a Bachelor's degree may substitute for up to 2 years of relevant experience. - At least 2 years of experience in Prospect Research, including: - Targeted Google searches. - Salesforce. - LexisNexis. - Foundation Directory Online. - RelSci. - Other common sources. - Experience with Blackbaud ResearchPoint and analyzing Securities & Exchange Commission filings and other financial data is a plus. - Demonstrated ability to: - Peruse large volumes of information. - Find details relevant to fundraising. - Present findings and recommendations clearly, concisely, and accurately. - Self-starter, detail-oriented, well-organized, and able to plan and execute projects from conception to completion. - Ability to produce and manage multiple requests simultaneously. - Ability to maintain confidentiality. - Strong written and oral communication skills. - Familiarity with environmental NGOs is a plus. - Demonstrates self-awareness, cultural competency, and inclusivity. - Able to work with colleagues and stakeholders across all cultures and backgrounds.
