Quality and problem-solving are at the heart of our audio work here at elasticStage. As an Audio QA Engineer you will be reporting to the Audio QA Lead to support our quality checks on samples and product deliveries, performing tests on incoming and outgoing audio content and contributing to the development of our quality standards In addition, you will be involved in supporting various audio tasks relating to tuning and aligning audio systems and running quality control tests as well as collaborating with other members of the Audio team for investigations and projects involving new equipment. This role is well-suited to someone with a technical flair and a trained ear who wants to expand their expertise in audio engineering. This is not a creative music production role. Responsibilities - Moderation of audio content submissions (acquiring audio assets and evaluating their quality status). - Investigating and resolving issues in our products (critical listening and objective analysis). - Investigating audio-specific customer support issues. - Performing tests on audio equipment and reporting results. - Contributing to the ongoing development of our quality processes. - Management and preparation of high-priority product samples and replacements. - Supporting the calibration of our audio systems. - Supporting the maintenance of our audio playout infrastructure. - Mentoring junior team members. Requirements - 3+ years industry experience (Audio engineering/QA/music production roles) - Bachelor's Degree in Audio Engineering or related field. - Experience working with DAWs (recording, audio editing, building sessions, bouncing/rendering content). - Good knowledge of Windows and Mac OS. - Experience working with network audio (Dante, Ravenna etc). - Understanding of Vinyl and other physical audio media formats and related audio workflows. - Knowledge of technical audio, understanding frequency responses, audio levels, phase etc. - Experience in critical listening and audio evaluation and the ability to communicate subjective input. - A hands-on approach to problem solving and a ‘can-do’ attitude. - Strong technical writing and documentation skills. Nice to Haves - Most team members hold a bachelor’s degree in audio engineering or a related discipline. - Candidates should ideally have some professional studio experience rather than being completely new or straight out of school. - A technical foundation is important to succeed in this role. Your work will create a single source of truth for analytics, reporting, and future AI/ML use cases, shaping how data powers our business. Responsibilities: - Design and build the foundational data stack from scratch data warehouse, ETL/ELT pipelines, and orchestration. - Design and implement scalable data architecture using modern cloud services and managed data platforms. - Build and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines for web data, factory telemetry, and third-party integrations. - Select appropriate tools balancing cost, complexity, and team capabilities (e.g., choosing between Snowflake, BigQuery, or a simpler Postgres-based approach) - Establish data modelling patterns that scale with the product. - Work with Software Engineering to define data models, schemas, and best practices for data governance. - Instrument event tracking across the product in collaboration with software and hardware engineers - Provide analytics-ready datasets to enable BI, reporting, and stakeholder insights. - Optimise cost, performance, and security across the data stack. Requirements - Strong experience as a Data Engineer (ideally in a startup or fast-scaling tech environment). - Strong knowledge of relational database design, with experience working in cloud-hosted data systems. - Proficiency in SQL and Python (or similar for data pipelines). - Familiarity with modern data tooling (Airflow, dbt, Kafka, Fivetran, AWS Glue, etc.). - Architectural mindset: balancing scalability, performance, reliability, and cost. - Excitement about being the first data hire and shaping the company’s data foundations. - Knowledge of BI tools (Tableau, Looker, Power BI). We are looking for a motivated and results-driven Audio R&D Engineer DSP-focused specialised in DSP to join our dynamic Audio R&D team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and optimising internal audio tools, improving system robustness, and contributing to the evolution of our audio technology. Responsibilities - Developing internal audio tools - Design, implement, and maintain audio tools (scripts, plugins, and software) based on project requirements. - Improving audio system efficiency - Evaluate existing and ongoing system development with a focus on computational demand and scalability. - Contributing to the audio systems roadmap - Identify and implement solutions to support ongoing and future challenges. - Audio technology ownership - Collaborate with the wider audio team to manage the audio system pipeline and work with the software team to integrate and roll out new features. - Audio system calibration and measurement tools - Develop and implement tools and solutions for calibrating complex physical audio systems through automated measurement. Requirements - Master’s degree in an engineering discipline related to signal processing, audio, acoustics, or electronics. - Proven experience working with signal processing and audio hardware in an R&D team or similar setting. - Knowledge of digital signal processing fundamentals; real-time audio processing, convolution, digital filtering concepts etc. - Experience working with embedded systems and designing DSP systems for limited performance constraints and integrating tools into broader software and hardware architectures. - Experience developing audio software/tools with C++/MATLAB/Python/JUCE systems and using version control systems such as Git. - Knowledge of networked audio systems. - Ability to work independently and take initiative. - Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to team members.
