We are looking for an experienced Senior Backend Engineer - Ruby who isn't just a coder, but an architect—someone who views AI (Copilot, Cursor, LLMs) as a force multiplier to deliver high-quality, scalable systems at 2x the velocity.You will be a pivotal contributor to our mission-critical infrastructure, scaling our RESTful APIs and optimizing proprietary algorithms that power global trade. You will play a crucial role in our migration to microservices, driving code quality and shaping the technical direction of our backend stack (Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, Redis/Sidekiq, RabbitMQ, and K8s). As a mentor, you will guide the team in mastering both the nuances of Ruby and the emerging art of AI-assisted refactoring and debugging. Role Description Easyship is looking for an experienced project manager with good knowledge of ecommerce shipping, warehousing & fulfilment to oversee the delivery of these projects for our clients. You will own part of the Easyship product by defining solutions in line with the product vision and strategy, coordinating with the design and engineering teams, in order to constantly create value for our users. - Contributing to defining and shaping the product roadmap for Easyship’s warehouse software, managing priorities from discovery to release and post-release. - Supporting roadmaps that maximize business opportunities and align with Easyship's strategic goals. - Leveraging ROI assessment methodologies to prioritize your roadmap. - Managing delivery of features from idea to release, and measuring their success. - Working collaboratively with global teams in various functional areas such as design, data analytics, engineering, logistics, warehouse operations and support to deliver quality products. - Gaining a deep understanding of our warehouse operations, their needs, and improve efficiency ultimately supporting profitability outcomes. - Staying informed about market dynamics and competitor activities to help Easyship maintain a competitive edge. This role is about more than shipping endpoints. You’ll define the vision for Easyship’s API ecosystem, drive adoption through world-class developer experience, and champion API-first thinking across the business.
