• The Project Claims & Commercial Controls Manager is responsible for protecting project profitability through proactive contract administration, change order management, claims strategy, commercial risk management, and financial oversight across the project portfolio. • Partner with project teams to identify scope changes, schedule impacts, engineering changes, and other events requiring commercial action. • Monitor and oversee the change order process to ensure timely submission of supporting documentation, proactive project manager follow-up, and adherence to commercial deadlines. • Monitor aging commercial issues, drive accountability, and escalate unresolved risks. • Support the timely development and submission of Extension of Time (EOT) requests, equitable adjustment proposals, cost recovery claims, and settlement proposals to ensure successful commercial outcomes. • Perform schedule delay, disruption, and cost impact analyses in collaboration with the project Operations and Engineering leads to support claims, negotiations, and dispute resolution. • Review and evaluate project documentation and deliverables to develop and support commercial strategies for successful change order pursuits. • Proactively identify commercial, contractual, financial, and operational risks impacting project performance. • Support Cost-to-Complete (CTC) reviews with respect to change order impacts / assessed likelihood of outcome. • Provide Finance and Executive Leadership with visibility into commercial exposure, margin risk, recovery opportunities, and expected financial impacts. • Lead or support negotiations involving change orders, claims, and contract disputes. • Partner with Project Management, Operations, Finance, and Legal to develop commercial strategies and mitigate risk. • Establish commercial controls, governance processes, and documentation standards. • Coach project teams on contract compliance, commercial awareness, and change management. • Escalate significant commercial risks and unresolved issues to executive leadership as appropriate.
• Confer with sales engineers, project managers, customers, and others to discuss and understand project specifications, scope, and design requirements. • Locate and review bidding information to confirm all required documents (e.g., DWGs, manifests) match the scope of work. • Prepare preliminary questions related to the scope to provide a more accurate proposal. • Prepare detailed and complete controls hardware pricing estimates and system design drawings to implement the project scope per specifications, codes, and customer requirements. • Work with company-provided pricing tools and assist in improving and enhancing those tools to keep pace with new hardware specs. • Communicate designs, ideas, and questions to other team members and functional groups to define scope and agree on proposed solutions. • Travel to job sites as required for design review, concept discussions, or site evaluations (up to 10–15% per year).
The Project Coordinator provides comprehensive support to the Federal Express Memphis project teams at Diversified Automation. This role works closely with the project management team to help ensure project deliverables and milestones are achieved on time, within scope, and within budget. The Project Coordinator plays a key role in organizing project activities, maintaining accurate documentation, and supporting day‑to‑day execution to keep project running smoothly. Job Responsibilities: - Update Weekly Status Reports with the Project Management Team to inform Clients and Internal Leadership of current Project Progress - Capture action items during weekly project coordination meetings, distribute meeting minutes, and follow up to ensure timely completion. - Consolidate key project information for review meetings with senior management - Organize and participate in stakeholder meetings to support alignment and communication. - Collaborate with the Project Management and Technical teams to define assignments, tasks, and subtasks. - Develop, implement, and maintain an effective scheduling management system - Coordinate project timelines with internal departments and external stakeholders - Monitor project schedules, identify potential delays, and support mitigation efforts. - Utilize resource loaded schedules to forecast labor needs - Evaluate performance against baseline schedules and prepare project progress reports - Work with finance on project purchase order generation and invoice recognition timing - Assist with project change notices and risk register review - Create, organize, and maintain project documentation and folders in Microsoft Teams and Datto - Serve as a primary communication bridge between internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure alignment throughout the project lifecycle. - Respond to customer inquiries and provide timely updates or clarification on project items - Maintain project dashboards, trackers, and logs (action items, issues, decisions, RFI logs, lessons learned, etc.) - Identify and escalate project risks or issues to the Project Manager and drive follow-up actions. - Track change requests, ensuring documentation, approvals, and communication are completed. Job Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration or similar field, or equivalent experience with automation projects - Ability to travel domestically – approximately 10% - Proven experience in a coordination role within a project-based company Knowledge / Skills / Competencies: - Ability to manage competing priorities, negotiate timelines, and align stakeholders. - Self‑starter with a strong sense of ownership and a proactive approach to improving processes and resolving issues. - Strong accuracy and attention to detail when managing documentation, schedules, and project deliverables. - Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams, technical staff, clients, and leadership. - Demonstrated cost management awareness - Proven ability to support remote team members and resources. - Strong communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly upstream and downstream. - Advanced listening and communication competencies - Demonstrated ability to assist in coordinating projects to achieve time, scope, and budget - Foundational time/task management skills - Proficient understanding of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Planner, and Visio - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency

• Support the design and implementation of electrical and control systems for automated material handling projects. • Develop and implement PLC and HMI programs (primarily Rockwell Automation; Beckhoff and Codesys experience a plus). • Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software engineering teams to define requirements and deliver integrated system solutions. • Manage and mentor controls and commissioning engineers, providing technical guidance and performance feedback. • Participate in system integration, testing, and on-site commissioning, ensuring successful start-up and customer acceptance. • Provide feedback to software development teams and improve standard PLC control libraries, templates, and best practices across projects. • Coordinate and communicate with software development teams to ensure PLC/HMI software is developed in alignment with established in-house standards. • Collaborate with stakeholders (project management, operations, and customers) to align designs with business and project goals. • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve control system issues in production and commissioning phases. • Stay current with emerging automation technologies, industrial networking standards, and software development practices.
