Role Description Sell Dennemeyer services within a given territory and covering both clients and new prospects. We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Business Development Manager to drive new business growth and strategic account expansion across our intellectual property (IP) services and solutions portfolio, including IP management, legal support services, and technology-enabled offerings. This role is ideal for a consultative, results-driven sales professional with 7–15 years of experience selling IP-related services, legal solutions, or adjacent offerings, with a strong understanding of the IP lifecycle and client needs. The successful candidate will engage with corporate IP departments, legal teams, law firms, and innovation-driven organizations, building executive-level relationships and leading complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles. You will play a key role in expanding our footprint by positioning integrated service and technology solutions that deliver measurable business value. Key Responsibilities - Business Development & Revenue Growth - Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities across IP services, including annuities, renewals, filings, legal support, and IP management solutions. - Build and execute strategic territory and account plans aligned with growth objectives. - Drive net-new logo acquisition while expanding existing accounts through cross-selling and upselling. - Maintain a strong pipeline through proactive outreach, referrals, industry events, and partner channels. - Own the full sales cycle from initial engagement through negotiation and contract execution. - Consultative Solution Selling - Understand client needs across the full IP lifecycle (patents, trademarks, renewals, portfolio management, and enforcement). - Conduct discovery sessions and present tailored solutions combining services and technology. - Clearly articulate value propositions, including cost efficiency, risk mitigation, compliance, and operational improvements. - Develop customized proposals, pricing models, and commercial frameworks. - Partner with internal teams to deliver integrated service + technology solutions. - Relationship Management - Build trusted advisor relationships with Heads of IP, General Counsel, legal ops teams, and law firm partners. - Maintain and grow relationships throughout the customer lifecycle. - Collaborate with delivery and customer success teams to ensure client satisfaction and retention. - Identify long-term opportunities for account expansion and strategic partnerships. - Market & Industry Engagement - Stay informed on trends in IP services, legal operations, and innovation ecosystems. - Represent the company at industry conferences, IP forums, and client events. - Provide ongoing market intelligence and client feedback to internal stakeholders. - Sales Process & Forecasting - Maintain accurate pipeline and forecasting data in CRM systems. - Deliver regular sales updates, forecasts, and account reviews. - Follow structured sales processes while maintaining a flexible, client-centric approach.
