• Lead and manage all pre-construction activities from tender through to project handover • Analyse tender documentation, identifying risks, opportunities and cost implications • Manage production and coordination of design information, ensuring compliance with contractual and planning requirements • Oversee and manage the Design Programme / IRS and chair Design Team meetings • Identify and report risks at the earliest stage to Directors and Senior Management • Ensure projects are commercially viable, within budget and aligned with programme requirements • Manage internal resources and appoint external consultants where required • Maintain strong stakeholder relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain partners • Present reports to senior leadership and contribute to strategic decision-making

• Assume full responsibility & accountability for the successful delivery of projects across Ireland, Europe and the UK. • Manage the department & construction team, assisting with sourcing suitable project leads and business development. • Ensure successful delivery across all projects while maintaining high levels of client satisfaction. • Actively seek to develop relationships with stakeholders, influencers, and decision makers. • Collaborate with the Commercial Department to engage with clients and project stakeholders. • Identify potential commercial risks at the earliest possible stage and report back to the Board. • Ensure detailed project programmes are completed for each secured project with a focus on the critical path and key project dates. • Implement robust resourcing plans across projects including strategies for sourcing skilled labour for European Projects. • Oversee project specific safety documentation and ensure compliance with specifications. • Interface with clients to ensure senior visibility on sites.

Role Description Due to continued growth, Crown is seeking to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Commercial team. This is a remote-based role, with candidates required to be resident in Ireland, the UK or Europe, and available to travel to project sites across Europe as/if required. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the successful candidate will take a lead role in the commercial management of live projects, providing oversight, guidance and commercial control across the project lifecycle. You will work closely with Project Managers, Site Managers and subcontractors to ensure strong commercial performance, cost certainty and risk management. Key Responsibilities - Lead the commercial management of projects in line with company procedures and best practice. - Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts and cost-to-complete reports. - Oversee measurement of works and preparation of interim and final valuations. - Prepare and review client applications and support the invoicing process. - Manage procurement strategies for subcontractors and materials. - Assess subcontractor applications, manage valuations, payments and final accounts. - Administer construction contracts, including variations, change control and claims. - Identify, manage and report commercial risks and opportunities. - Provide commercial support and guidance to Project and Site Management teams. - Maintain accurate commercial records and reporting for senior management. - Attend site as required to support commercial activities and project delivery. Qualifications - Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline. - Minimum of 8–10 years’ post-graduate experience in a quantity surveying role. - Previous experience in roofing, cladding or façade systems is highly desirable. - Strong understanding of construction contracts and commercial management. - Excellent commercial, numerical and analytical skills. - Strong communication and leadership skills, capable of working across remote and site-based teams. - High level of IT proficiency (Excel, Word, Outlook; Microsoft Project / Primavera an advantage). - Full, current driving licence. - Valid passport and willingness to travel to European project sites as required.
