• Design, develop, test, and maintain onboard flight software in line with product assurance and safety standards • Work with stakeholders to define, refine, and manage software requirements across all onboard systems • Contribute to the design of onboard software architecture • Help define and implement system-level fault detection, isolation, and recovery (FDIR) strategies within onboard software • Support planning and coordination of new software features and upgrades • Ensure strong configuration management practices across all onboard software components • Define verification strategies and testing approaches • Participate in verification and validation activities for onboard systems and flight software

• Lead and coordinate complex satellite programs, with a strong emphasis on institutional and government-funded initiatives (e.g., DLR, ESA, national programs) • Ensure end-to-end program execution excellence, including schedule, cost, risk, and quality management, in line with institutional and defence-grade standards (e.g., ISO/AS9100) • Develop and implement scalable procurement strategies compliant with public procurement regulations and governance frameworks • Build, manage, and strengthen strategic supplier relationships, with a focus on the German industrial ecosystem • Lead contract negotiations and placements, balancing commercial objectives with institutional and regulatory requirements • Serve as a key interface with external stakeholders, including agencies, prime contractors, and public partners • Enhance internal processes to ensure auditability, traceability, and compliance typical of government-backed programs • Support future satellite generations by aligning procurement and partnerships with long-term institutional roadmaps

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve a robust Software Product Assurance (PA) programme, reporting directly to the Product Assurance Manager • Take end-to-end ownership of Software Product Assurance across both flight and ground software for our satellite constellation • Ensure rigorous application of software configuration management and release processes, maintaining strong version control, traceability, and engineering discipline • Enforce compliance with safety-critical and mission-critical software standards, with a strong focus on risk reduction and failure prevention • Define and oversee software testing, verification, and validation strategies across all development and delivery phases • Investigate, manage, and resolve software anomalies throughout development, testing, integration, and operational phases • Support Spacecraft Assembly, Integration and Testing (AIT) activities, ensuring software readiness and compliance at every stage • Coordinate and lead software deliveries from suppliers, ensuring alignment with internal standards, schedules, and quality expectations • Participate in subcontractor reviews and key technical meetings, working closely with procurement engineers and Product Assurance stakeholders • Balance the demands of rapid development cycles with the need to maintain strong Product Assurance and software quality standards in a fast-paced space environment
