Role Description This position will provide technical support to the Federal Aviation Administration programs. This position involves hands-on configuration, installation, and system testing across FAA facilities, with a specific focus on safeguarding National Airspace System (NAS) operations through detailed planning and coordination with FAA stakeholders. Qualifications - 6+ equivalent years of experience in supporting mission-critical infrastructure or FAA systems. - Specific experience with the FAA is required. Requirements - Assist in the installation and integration of National Airspace terminal systems at FAA field locations. - Support planning and scheduling efforts to align installation activities with operational safety windows. - Participate in site surveys and readiness assessments, documenting existing infrastructure and constraints. - Follow FAA technical documentation to install racks, cabling, and interfaces per engineering specs. - Monitor and report system performance throughout the installation lifecycle. - Coordinate with FAA Technical Operations, Engineering Services, and Program Offices to ensure NAS continuity. - Contribute effectively to working groups through oral and written communication and cooperative working relationships. - Coordinate cabling requirements and plan cabling deployments. - Schedule meetings with site owner and scheduling team. - Test cables after install to ensure the cable is terminated correctly and provide soft copy of test results. - Properly label and lay cables, and repair network ends of ethernet cables. - Terminate cables using proper connectors. - Organize cables to ensure they are bundled neatly after installation. Benefits - Remote work option available. - Salary range: $60 - $80k. - Travel required as needed by client/s and/or company to various FAA field sites. Education Requirements - High school diploma required. Certification Requirements - One of the following BICSI Installer credentials are required: - BICSI Installer 1 (INST1) - BICSI Installer 2 Copper (INSTC) - BICSI Installer 2 Optical Fiber (INSTF) - BICSI Technician (Tech) Skills Requirements - Familiarity with FAA installation standards, documentation practices, and operational risk mitigation. - Competency in reading and interpreting schematics, technical diagrams, and cabling layouts. - Proven ability to work independently and as part of coordinated field installation teams. - Strong communication and reporting skills for collaboration across FAA regional teams. - High level of proficiency with MS Office Products. - Strong analytical background and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Role Description This position will provide experienced financial management/analysis and business operations support to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). - Assist the PM in preparing budget and financial plans for the program, including justification for operations & maintenance (OPS) and facilities & equipment (F&E) funding. - Assist in interpreting budget and financial guidance received in order to prepare project plans from this guidance. - Evaluate and develop program budgetary estimates, resource management requirements, and monthly and weekly financial/business management reports. - Develop monthly management reports with summary of projects’ status, task order status, updated risk registers, list of upcoming presentations and meetings, corporate work plan status, and Activity 5 budget projections. - Coordinate with FAA HQ and facilities personnel (FAA TECH Center, VOLPE, etc.) on all funding requests. - Review and coordinate funding actions with Program Manager/Business Manager, Program Leads, Contracting Officers, and Contracting Officer Representatives. - Prepare program funding action documentation as required, including: - Procurement Requisitions (PR) - Requisitions for Modification (RFM) - Requisitions for Inter-Agency Agreements (IAA) - Program Authorization (PA) funds transfer requests - Monitor the approval process of all procurement requests for timely commitment, obligation, and award to their appropriate contract vehicles. - Perform continuous reconciliation of all program funding and obligations. - Develop and maintain an organized set of excel spreadsheets that will serve as current financial tracking mechanism as well as the foundation for a supporting financial database for the program. - Serve as point-of-contact for program related data calls and information requests associated with program financial tracking and planning meetings; briefings and FAA executive management requirements. - Assist in coordination of program personnel travel budget planning and travel expenditure tracking and reporting. - Contribute effectively to working groups through oral and written communication and cooperative working relationships. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Engineering, Math, Operations Research, or Finance. - Master’s degree a plus. - 10+ equivalent years of experience in government business, financial management, or analysis. - Specific experience with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is required. Requirements - High level of proficiency with MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, and other MS Office Products. - Strong analytical background and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Must be a US citizen or a legal resident for three of the past five years. - Must meet eligibility requirements for a US Public Trust security clearance.
