Role Description As our People & Talent Acquisition Adviser, you’ll play a key role in finding, attracting and onboarding high‑quality talent across Civiteq. You’ll manage end‑to‑end recruitment, build trusted relationships with hiring managers, champion inclusive hiring practices, and ensure every candidate has a positive and engaging experience. This role is a six-month fixed term contract, in the first instance. Alongside this, you’ll provide day‑to‑day HR support across core people processes, contributing to a high‑quality service that supports our growth agenda. Success in this role means delivering great hiring outcomes, shaping a strong onboarding journey, and playing an active role in delivering our People Plan. What You’ll Be Doing - Talent Acquisition - Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from role scoping and advertising to interviews, offers and onboarding. - Work closely with hiring managers to understand needs, develop job descriptions and advise on sourcing strategies. - Screen applications, conduct initial interviews and support impactful selection processes. - Create a candidate experience built around what matters most, people. - Maintain recruitment records and metrics within our ATS (Workable) and produce reports as required. - Build and manage relationships with external recruitment partners. - Play a key role in promoting and developing Civiteq’s EVP and employer brand. - Own and continuously improve our onboarding experience to ensure consistency and quality for new colleagues. - HR Support - Support employee lifecycle administration (starters, changes, leavers). - Contribute to People Team activities including policy reviews, reporting and engagement initiatives. - Help deliver key elements of the People Plan. Qualifications - Proven experience in internal recruitment or talent acquisition. - Strong track record of managing multiple roles, including both permanent and contractor hiring. - Experience hiring specialist roles (e.g. change, project management, technical SMEs). - Confidence advising hiring managers and influencing decisions. - HR administrative or generalist experience within a People/HR function. - Understanding of the public sector landscape and networks in this space. - Experience in consultancy, professional services or a high‑growth environment. - Familiarity with Workable and BambooHR (or similar ATS/HRIS platforms). Skills & Behaviours - Strong understanding of recruitment best practice, inclusive hiring and employment legislation. - Excellent organisational and administrative skills with high attention to detail. - Skilled communicator able to build trusted relationships at all levels. - High levels of professionalism, confidentiality and integrity. - Comfortable working independently while being an active part of a collaborative People Team.
