Role Description The Beautification, Arts and Sciences Program is seeking a collaborative and detail-oriented professional to manage public art collections, beautification assets, and community-focused projects throughout the City. This position oversees project development and maintenance, coordinates with internal and external partners, conducts community outreach, and supports program initiatives through project management, reporting, and stakeholder engagement. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills, along with experience managing projects of varying scope and complexity. Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree in public art, architecture, heritage preservation, landscape architecture, planning, urban design, art history, project management or a related field. - Three years of experience in program coordination, planning, and/or project management. - Must possess a valid Class D driver’s license. - Or any combination of education, experience, and training equivalent to the above Minimum Requirements. - Two years of experience in art collections management or public art maintenance (or a related field). - Two years of computer experience including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project). - Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred. - Two years of database experience preferred. - Must possess, or obtain upon employment, a valid Arizona driver’s license. - Regular attendance is an essential function of this job to ensure continuity. Requirements - Provides excellent customer service to both internal and external customers. - Manages collections (built assets) for the beautification, arts and sciences program. - Manages maintenance of infrastructure/projects for the beautification, arts and sciences program with internal and external partners. - Develops beautification, arts and sciences programs or projects of various scales. - Develops success strategies; manages scope; selects and engages consultants; tracks project milestones and deliverables, quality control, budget management, record keeping, problem identification and resolution; and keeps supervisor appraised of project status. - Actively identifies and conducts outreach to stakeholders and provides stakeholder opinions; builds, develops, and grows relationships that contribute to the success of assignments, the program, the division, and the City. - Organizes and conducts informal and formal community outreach efforts. - Arranges, attends, presents, and/or conducts community meetings. - Manages marketing projects for the beautification, arts and sciences program. - Coordinates assignments including scheduling, resource coordination, task management, and client and contractor communication. - Collaborates with and provides technical assistance to internal and external agencies. - Develops and delivers progress reports, proposals, requirement documentation, and presentations. - Contributes to the review of various development applications including permits, site plans, and building plans. - Hands on data collection, data analysis, concept generation, technical development, documentation, and implementation. - Manages day-to-day contracted operational aspects of the completion of assignments. - Maintains collections and projects records and prepares related reports and correspondence with an attention to detail. - Assemble and analyze information, presentations, and reports for City Council, management, and staff. - Reviews proposals and provides knowledgeable expert opinion. - Develops agendas, prepares applications, provides technical reports, attends meetings, and communicates between Commissions and management. - Other duties as assigned. As a Systems Administrator II, you will be a key player in supporting Flagstaff’s critical technology infrastructure, working alongside the Systems Administrator Senior to install, maintain, and monitor the organization’s servers, storage, backup, and core systems across both on-premises and cloud environments. Examples of the Work Performed - Provides excellent customer service to both internal and external customers. - Supports the Systems Administrator Senior in strategic planning efforts, capacity planning, functional, and technical design of enterprise server systems and resolution of complex problems. - Assists in evaluating vendor products in hardware, and software and recommend purchases consistent with the organization's short- and long-term objectives. - Assists in the recommendation and implementation of server policies and standards and ensure adherence to security procedures. - Performs troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair/fix for network hardware and software related problems. - Works in conjunction with management to devise strategic and tactical solutions required to meet overall business objectives. - Recommends technology solutions considering a number of factors including budget, business need, internal capabilities, usability, longevity, integration, and strategic direction. - Assists the Systems Administrator Senior in providing consulting, instruction, direction and technical assistance to the city for architectural design of core management systems as well as application platforms, security, storage and backup related objectives. - Interfaces with users, consultants, technical teams and vendors for maximum guidance in determining the most appropriate selection of technologies. - Assists the Systems Administrator Senior in providing the administration, analysis, design, testing, documentation, implementation and functions for all server systems (virtual, physical, on-premises or cloud), mass storage systems; backup systems, networks, telephony systems, enterprise applications including monitoring systems, directory services, Domain Name System (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), data center and security systems. - Assists the Systems Administrator Senior in managing a data center; architects, implements and manages cabinet, cabling and power configurations. - Supports and adheres to back-up process and procedures associated with protecting network stored data from losses associated with system failure, corruption, or disaster. - Designs, develops, configures, implements, and maintains cost effective solutions to meet business needs. - Helps to ensures high availability, security, stability, integrity, capacity, and performance on new and existing servers. - Provides on-going support for core enterprise software systems. - Supports and maintains systems in a data center environment. - Selects server specifications based on customer requirements. - Participates in server hardware repairs and upgrades as well as operating system installations and configurations. - Plans and schedules server operating system maintenance activities including patches and configuration changes. - Establishes and maintains permissions on the network and host systems. - Creates and maintains technical documentation related to system operations. - Analyzes and resolves system problems in order to maintain operations by performing root cause analysis. - Attends training and maintains understanding of current and future industry standards and technologies. - Works with staff and stakeholders to develop technology driven strategies that address current and future needs. - Maintains records of repairs, resolutions, and changes in a work order system. - Provides guidance and training to other members of the team. - Other duties as assigned. Qualifications - Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management, or Information Systems, or a closely related field. - Three (3) years of general Information Technology experience. - One (1) year of Systems Administration experience. - Must possess, or obtain upon employment, a valid class D driver’s license. - Or any combination of education, experience, and training equivalent to the above Minimum Requirements.
