C2ES is the Secretariat for the Kinetic Coalition - a new approach for driving corporate investment in clean energy systems in emerging economies. We do this through high-integrity energy transition carbon credits and engaging global companies committed to accelerating the transition to clean energy systems, reducing value chain emissions, and bringing economic, health, and environmental benefits to local communities around the world. Requirements Major Responsibilities: • Assist in the day-to-day operations of the Kinetic Coalition with logistics and organization of meetings and roundtables • Assist with drafting and refining Kinetic Coalition outreach documents • Be an active participant in Secretariat meetings, contributing thoughts and ideas as Kinetic Coalition implements and expands its work • Assist with C2ES virtual, hybrid, and in-person events • Other duties as assigned Qualifications: · Undergraduate or graduate degree, or student close to obtaining a degree, in environmental studies, or a related field, or business. · Familiarity with climate change issues, carbon markets preferred · Great writing, editing, and research skills · Attention to detail · Willingness to learn · Ability to work both independently and on a team · Knowledge of social media, graphic design, or website design is a plus. Job Description: C2ES seeks a highly qualified and committed individual to fill the positions of Research Analysis Intern to support the organization’s research and analysis on climate policy, clean energy technologies, and pathways to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions. The intern will work closely with C2ES researchers on projects related to decarbonization technologies, energy systems, and climate policy design. This role is particularly well suited for students interested in the intersection of technology innovation, economic analysis, and public policy. This intern will report to the Director of Energy Analysis. Requirements Major responsibilities: - Support C2ES' research and analytical work to inform the ongoing federal permitting reform debate; - Conduct literature reviews and landscape scans of emerging climate and energy technologies, policies, and market trends; - Track developments in key areas of climate innovation, such as advanced nuclear, geothermal energy, hydrogen and low-carbon fuels, carbon capture technologies, and energy storage; - Compile and synthesize open-source information from academic studies, industry reports, policy analyses, and news sources to produce concise research summaries. - Develop and contribute to written material, including blog posts, other topical web content, and policy briefs, with a goal of having specific deliverables authored by the intern; - Help translate technical or complex subject matter into accessible insights for policymakers, companies, and the broader public; - Attend and inform the Policy and Outreach team about relevant events in Washington by other think tanks, advocacy groups, Congress and federal agencies. Desired Qualifications: - Enrolled in, or completed a bachelor's degree or higher (with a preference given to graduate students) in one of the following fields: technology, engineering, energy systems, environmental or energy policy, or other related subject; - Demonstrated interest in climate change, energy systems, or clean technology innovation. - Strong interpersonal communication skills and interest in stakeholder engagement; - Interdisciplinary understanding of climate change (technology, politics, economics, etc.); - Top-notch writing, editing, research, and analytic skills; - Ability to sort through dense and complicated information quickly; - Strong attention to detail; - Willingness to learn and to pitch in at all levels. Job Description: C2ES is seeking one full-time Regional Clean Economies Intern for the Summer of 2026. This internship provides the ideal candidate the opportunity to work on policy research and stakeholder engagement at C2ES, with the goal of supporting in-person and virtual stakeholder engagement and advocacy activities. The intern will work directly with the Net Zero Pathways team, supporting efforts to build local support for ambitious climate action in key regions across the country. The program is currently focused on supporting the battery supply chain in the Southeast (Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee). Requirements Major Responsibilities - Help plan, implement, and follow up on the Regional Clean Economies Initiative’s Southeast cohort on the battery and critical materials supply chain, including: - Support planning and implementation of advocacy day to bring regional stakeholders to Washington, D.C. to advocate to Congress for supportive policies developed through the initiative - Help coordinate scoping calls and virtual convenings with local stakeholders, including government, businesses, and nonprofits, including members of the C2ES Business Environmental Leadership Council (BELC) - Track state policy developments and opportunities for C2ES priorities among the five target states (AL, GA, NC, SC, TN) - Working with the Regional Clean Economies team, develop and complete a capstone project or presentation at the completion of the internship. - Help synthesize event learnings, identifying key discussion takeaways and drawing out priority state and federal policy recommendations and next steps - Assist in developing event materials and invitations and finalizing logistics for events - Support research and writing of fact sheets, blog posts, and other content to advance key priorities in the region and at the federal level Desired skills - Strong interpersonal communication skills and interest in stakeholder engagement - Knowledge of climate and energy-related subjects and willingness to learn more - Self-motivated, organized, and able to work both independently and with guidance - Experience with event coordination and planning - Qualitative and quantitative research, analysis, and writing skills - Comfortable representing C2ES to external stakeholders - Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, or equivalent programs Internship type - Preferences will be given to local applicants.
