Role Description The Systems and Automation Developer exists to strengthen CBMC’s ministry impact by improving how our systems connect, automate, and deliver reliable data across the organization. This role focuses on building integrations, streamlining workflows, and ensuring that teams have access to accurate, accessible information to support decision-making and ministry effectiveness. Working closely with Operations and cross-functional teams, this role helps reduce manual work, increase system reliability, and create scalable solutions that support the growth of the ministry. Essential Responsibilities - Systems Integration: - Ensure reliable system connectivity and data flow by designing and supporting integrations across core ministry platforms. - Build and maintain API-based integrations between systems. - Monitor and resolve synchronization issues. - Collaborate with vendors and technical partners. - Contribute to a scalable integration approach across systems. - Automation & Workflow Design: - Design and implement workflow automation across systems. - Build triggers and repeatable processes. - Enhance consistency in workflows. - Streamline manual or repetitive tasks for internal teams. - Data Infrastructure & Pipelines: - Build and maintain data pipelines between systems. - Ensure consistent data structures across platforms. - Resolve data integrity issues. - Adhere to data governance practices, including appropriate data access boundaries. - Data Access & Reporting Enablement: - Develop and maintain reliable datasets. - Improve data accessibility for decision-making. - Enable self-service reporting for internal teams. - Translate operational needs into effective data solutions. - Continuous Improvement & Documentation: - Collaborate with the Operations team to continuously improve systems, workflows, and data processes. - Implement scalable solutions and enhance platform efficiency. - Maintain clear, structured documentation that supports long-term sustainability and organizational best practices. Qualifications - Faith & Character Requirements: - Affirm and actively live out a personal faith in Jesus Christ in alignment with CBMC’s Statement of Faith. - Embrace and model CBMC’s mission to reach men in the marketplace for Christ. - Demonstrate Biblical integrity, humility, and servant leadership in all areas of responsibility. - Education & Experience: - Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. - One to two years + experience working with data systems, integrations, or automation tools. - Strong understanding of relational data structures and SQL. - Experience working with APIs, webhooks, or system integrations. - Familiarity with workflow automation tools (Power Automate, Zapier, Make, or similar). - Experience with reporting or analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar). - Ability to troubleshoot issues across multiple systems. - Strong problem-solving and systems thinking skills. - Preferred: - Experience working with CRM platforms (such as Microsoft Dynamics or Salesforce). - Experience building data pipelines or ETL processes. - Familiarity with scripting or programming languages (Python, JavaScript, or similar). - Experience working with cloud-based platforms and SaaS ecosystems. - Experience using AI-assisted tools to build or support technical solutions. - Experience working in nonprofit or ministry environments. Through intentional relationship-building, city visitations, coaching, and training, the Regional Director ensures that an increasing number of leaders are identified, connected, engaged, trained, and multiplied to advance the mission of CBMC. Essential Responsibilities - Regional Leadership and Coaching: Provide guidance, coaching, and encouragement to both staff leaders and volunteer leaders throughout the region, fostering a culture of accountability, growth, and mission alignment. - Leadership Identification and Development: Identify emerging leaders and potential staff and actively engage them in the CBMC Leadership Development process. - Relational Engagement and Regional Presence: Maintain strong relationships across the region through intentional one-on-one engagement, regular communication, and travel. - Ministry Expansion and Organizational Building: Serve as a builder of ministry by strategically identifying opportunities for new area development and strengthening existing ministry presence. - Strategic Communication and Influence: Lead influential conversations that inspire engagement, reinforce the organization’s mission and vision, and drive alignment among staff, volunteer leaders, and stakeholders. - Change Leadership and Organizational Alignment: Lead and navigate organizational change with clarity and confidence. - Development and Funding Growth: Support the funding of ministry growth by participating in development activities and equipping leaders to engage in fundraising efforts.
