Role Description The Financial Analyst is a member of the Financial Services team at Campbell Oil Company responsible for evaluating customer creditworthiness, underwriting credit terms, monitoring account performance, and driving timely collections. This full-time position safeguards the company’s accounts receivable (“AR”) by reducing financial risk, ensuring accurate billing and payment compliance, and maintaining strong professional relationships with customers and internal sales teams. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset exercising strong communication and analytical skills while seamlessly toggling between multiple priorities and financial procedures to ensure all deadlines are met in a timely manner. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. - 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable, credit analysis, or commercial underwriting preferred. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial statements and credit data. - Excellent communication and negotiation abilities. - Proficiency in ERP/AR systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel required). - Knowledge of credit risk standards and collections practices. Requirements - Review and analyze new and existing customer credit applications, financial statements, credit reports, and trade references. - Assess creditworthiness and establish appropriate credit limits and terms according to company policies. - Monitor ongoing credit risk and proactively adjust credit limits based on customer performance, industry trends, and exposure. - Maintain organized records of credit decisions and ensure compliance with internal approval guidelines. - Manage assigned portfolio of accounts to ensure timely payments and reduce past due balances. - Communicate with customers regarding outstanding invoices, payment discrepancies, and account issues. - Resolve billing disputes in coordination with internal teams (sales, billing, logistics, etc.). - Escalate high-risk accounts and recommend actions such as holds, payment plans, or legal review when appropriate. - Track and report AR metrics, aging performance, and collections progress. - Partner with sales teams to balance credit risk with business growth opportunities. - Provide exceptional service to internal and external customers while maintaining firm follow-through on payment requirements. - Support process improvements that drive AR efficiency and enhance credit risk management practices. Role Description We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate is not only proficient in traditional accounting but also possesses a strong aptitude for systems and data-related work. This role offers the opportunity to blend finance expertise with technology, ensuring accurate reporting while driving improvements in processes through system optimization and data analysis. Key Responsibilities - Core Accounting Functions: - Perform general ledger accounting and maintenance, including monthly close processes and reconciliations for the Campbell Oil wholesale fuels division. - Prepare and review journal entries and ensure compliance with GAAP and corporate policies. - Analyze financial statements and variance reports to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. - Work cross-functionally with operations teams to understand key drivers of financials, maintain rebate accruals, and ensure cost allocations are accurate. - Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. - Support and assist in quarterly bank covenant reporting. - Process Improvement: - Collaborate with IT and finance teams on ERP system updates, maintenance, and optimization. - Extract, analyze, and interpret data from systems using advanced Excel techniques, business intelligence tools, or data analytics platforms. - Identify inefficiencies in workflows and recommend system-driven improvements. - Generate detailed reports and dashboards to present insights to management. - Contribute to automation initiatives by working with IT to identify new technologies to streamline accounting processes, such as reconciliation or reporting tasks. - Participate in cross-functional projects to integrate data tools with financial reporting functions. - Internal Controls: - Assist and support in creation and documentation of internal controls related to cash, payables, inventory control, and month-end documentation. - Assist in training and mentoring finance staff on compliance standards. Qualifications - Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred). - Experience: Minimum 5–7 years of accounting experience. - Technical Skills: - Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, pivot tables). - Familiarity with data visualization solutions such as Power BI or Tableau helpful. - Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and compliance standards. - Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities. POSITION OVERVIEW The Dispatch Specialist – LTL Fuels/Propane Operations is responsible for coordinating and dispatching fuel and propane deliveries across multiple bulk plant locations within the LTL Fuel/Propane Division. This role reports directly to the VP of Operations and plays a critical part in ensuring timely, efficient, and cost-effective tank wagon deliveries to our commercial, agricultural, construction, fleet customers, and residential customers. This position focuses on optimizing delivery routes, managing daily delivery schedules, and maintaining product availability across company and customer locations. The Dispatch Specialist works closely with drivers, branch managers, and outside sales representatives using routing software and automated tank monitoring systems to support proactive, efficient delivery planning.
