Blavity Inc. is seeking to contract a highly organized Programming Coordinator to support speaker-driven programming across AfroTech and other live events. This role serves as the primary intake and documentation owner for all speaker-submitted content and programming materials. The Programming Coordinator ensures that speaker assets, session content, and related materials are received, organized, properly filed, and routed to the appropriate internal stakeholders. This role is critical to maintaining programming clarity and ensuring that content flows efficiently between Programming, Programming Operations, Marketing, Creative, and Production. Collect, track, and serve as the primary recipient of speaker-submitted materials (bios, headshots, decks, AV needs, session descriptions, etc.). Organize and file all speaker materials in designated shared drives and folders using standardized naming conventions. Maintain up-to-date records in Sessionboard and other internal tracking tools, including speaker status, session materials, and contact details. Maintain and update talent CRM data, programming schedules, and session details with precision and accuracy within Sessionboard. Own communication of all speaker-driven updates, ensuring changes are clearly relayed to Programming, Operations, Marketing, Creative, and Production and accurately reflected across all materials. Manage the routing and integrity of speaker materials by confirming team receipt, flagging missing or incorrect assets before handoff, maintaining version control, and organizing a centralized programming content folder for each event. Maintain master speaker content logs across events. Track programming changes (speaker swaps, title updates, format shifts) and document revisions. Support organization of sponsor-provided content and materials before internal build. Production assistant tasks onsite and talent wrangling.

Role Description Blavity Inc. is seeking an experienced, top-performing Senior Business Development Manager for our AfroTech Sales team to pursue and close partnership opportunities with advertisers and sponsors, with a focus on digital sales channels and tentpole marketing initiatives. This position reports directly to the Director of Sales, AfroTech. - Own a digital sales revenue goal focused on growth across mobile, video, social, and tentpole initiatives. - Schedule and execute virtual and face-to-face meetings with potential and existing clients to build meaningful and robust client relationships. - Consultatively sell premium digital and tentpole marketing solutions (mobile, video, social, branded content) to new and existing clients by mapping business challenges with tailored solutions and maximizing adoption across the AfroTech platform. - Act as a liaison between AfroTech and advertisers on all digital marketing programs and tentpole initiatives, including advertising campaigns, advertorials, digital events, social and mobile promotions, and sponsorships. - Identify and capitalize on net new digital and tentpole opportunities and use cases to drive incremental revenue growth and close new business within named accounts and across emerging platforms. - Partner with AfroTech cross-functional teams to sell comprehensive solutions across the entire AfroTech ecosystem. - Prepare monthly Sales reports, forecast and manage pipelines using CRM tools, and communicate clear reporting to senior management and executives. - Meet or exceed revenue goals on a monthly basis across desktop, mobile, video, branded content, social media, and live events. Qualifications - Preferred BA/BS in Business or Marketing/Sales OR relevant work experience. - 5+ years of digital media sales, advertising, and/or experiential sales experience with a strong track record of meeting and/or exceeding quotas in digital channels. - Experience closing business with Fortune 500 businesses and agencies. - Demonstrated experience selling tentpole marketing programs and major sponsorship opportunities with strong executive-level relationships. - Previous experience working in digital media, advertising tech, entertainment, or related high-growth industries; experience with emerging platforms and digital trends. - Fluent in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and Salesforce or equivalent CRM platform. Requirements - Independent, entrepreneurial self-starter who is comfortable taking on a high level of responsibility. - High-energy, company-first, positive attitude; must be motivated to work hard in a fast-paced environment. - Excellent verbal and written communication and active listening skills; research, problem-solving, & time management skills; willing to wear multiple hats. - A healthy appreciation of GIFs and Black culture. We are currently seeking experienced writers to join our contributor network. This is a 1099 contract position collaborating closely with the Editor at Large, AFROTECH. Contractors are required to provide all necessary equipment for the role, including but not limited to laptop computers, cell phones, and any other electronic devices.
