Key Responsibilities - Develop and execute a strategic business plan for a wide geographical area to effectively target, penetrate, and establish a network of relationships with key decision makers and stakeholders - Effectively call on physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, pharmacists, etc., across multiple medical subspecialties - Call points include: Physician’s office, Hospital Pharmacy, OR, ICU, etc. - Fully understand and be able to communicate clear messages in complex clinical situations - Comfortable doing periodic field travel with internal personnel, including Management/Marketing/etc. - Utilize data sources to maximize strategies and efficiencies to capitalize on opportunities with the greatest ROI - Attain or exceed assigned sales and profit goal - Manage and track territory specific information through a CRM system - Ability to travel as needed for the territory/role, which will include air travel Required Skills and Experience - Bachelor’s degree - B2B sales experience - Ability to work independently and manage key account relationships - Demonstrated growth in sales while managing your own territory - Documented track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales goals - Business acumen and strong comprehension of difficult clinical information - Ability to articulate complex clinical messages to Healthcare Providers in real time situations - Excellent organization and time management skills - Outstanding oral and written communication skills - Strong presentation skills, including ability to present to teams/groups - Strong interpersonal and virtual engagement skills - Ability to work with a CRM tool (i.e., Veeva, Salesforce) - Independent, with an ability to work within a team - Strong Leadership Skills - Attention to detail and follow-through - Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PPT, etc.) Preferred Qualifications - Pharmaceutical sales experience - Gastroenterology experience is preferred - Knowledge of local/regional health systems #LI-Remote Physical & Mental Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. About the Role The Sr. Manager, Patient Support Services, will report to the Executive Director Contracting and Patient Services, and be responsible for executing defined patient access and reimbursement strategies in multiple therapeutic areas. This person will be a problem solver and collaborate to remove access and affordability hurdles for patients on Azurity products, through partnership with internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities include ensuring understanding of reimbursement process, co-pay and affordability solutions, PAP/Free goods program, field reimbursement services, and patient support services in general. The Sr. Manager, Reimbursement and Patient Support, will be self-directed and manage day-to-day patient access and support operations. Duties will include overseeing assigned vendors, ensuring all KPIs are met or exceeded, anticipating/identifying/resolving/monitor potential operational challenges, overseeing accurate and timely reporting of results, monitoring program budgets, and ensuring all legal and regulatory requirements are being met. Ensure that all program operations are running smoothly and in accordance with program business rules and all safety, legal and regulatory requirements. - Lead execution of affordability strategies in alignment with brand strategic imperatives and financial goals - Manage the implementation and ongoing operations of co-pay, PAP, and cash programs finding opportunities for program enhancements and optimization. - Manage assigned vendor relationships: Anticipate and address program challenges sa the vendor account manager. Work closely with vendor to track and meet or exceed all program KPIs - Ensure that accurate and timely reporting of key data. Develop, distribute, and present summary reports to key colleagues on a regular basis. - Lead regular business reviews in partnership with to present trends in the program. - Manage resolution of customer issues - Collaborate with marketing and sales to ensure pull through of Patient Affordability solutions - Keep abreast of ever-changing market dynamics and industry trends for pharmacy and medical benefit products to evolve co-pay programs and other patient affordability solutions as needed. Required Skills and Experience - BA/BS degree - 5+ years of experience designing and executing patient affordability programs within pharmaceutical manufacturing with an emphasis on PAP, copay, and cash programs. - Ability to prioritize and complete high volume and velocity of workload and projects. - Demonstrated depth with reimbursement support services and hubs - Familiarity with buy and bill process - Anticipate and address challenges to ensure smooth operations of patient access and affordability services - Ability to work cross-functionally as needed to achieve desired results - Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently in a collaborative manner - Working knowledge of the compliance and regulatory environment for manufacturers in the pharmaceutical space - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
