• Own end-to-end recruiting for critical roles across the company, from executive and senior leadership hires to highly specialized technical positions (e.g., propulsion, test, and prototyping) • Partner directly with founders and functional leaders to define hiring priorities, success profiles, and interview strategies that surface real-world competence and judgment • Design and execute sourcing strategies for hard-to-find talent, leveraging deep networks, targeted outbound, referrals, and creative approaches beyond traditional channels • Lead executive search efforts, including confidential searches, senior-level assessment, and offer negotiation • Build interview processes that effectively evaluate hands-on skill sets, technical decision-making, and ownership in build-and-test environments • Act as a steward of candidate experience, particularly for senior and high-signal candidates • Continuously refine recruiting processes, tools, and hiring practices to support rapid, high-quality scaling

• Develop and execute growth and capture strategies across the defense and commercial aerospace sectors, with a focus on U.S. Air Force and Navy programs. • Lead customer engagement: identify opportunities, build relationships, and shape customer requirements through outreach, events, and briefings. • Own business development collateral — including capture decks, strategy documents, customer presentations, and executive briefings. • Maintain and improve customer tracking systems and ensure CRM data integrity. • Execute capture planning, including opportunity assessment, solution strategies, competitive assessments, teaming strategies, win themes, and customer engagement strategies. • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and leadership to align technical capabilities with customer needs. • Leverage capture activities to develop compelling proposal strategies and prepare effective whitepapers and proposals that address customer needs and capability gaps • Represent Astro Mechanica at conferences, customer industry days, partner events, and customer-site meetings—up to 25–40% travel required. • Contribute to corporate strategy, identifying new markets, partnerships, and technology applications for dual-use systems.
• Define and steward Astro Mechanica’s brand voice, visual identity, and messaging system. • Lead design and creative resources to produce high-impact content for investors, talent, partners, and senior U.S. government and defense leadership. • Oversee the creation of compelling, on-brand content across web, presentations, announcements, and long-form formats. • Elevate the voices of Astro Mechanica’s leadership through differentiated thought leadership, public commentary, and executive communications. • Partner closely with leadership on investor-facing materials, including fundraising decks, investor updates, milestone announcements, and strategic narrative. • Ensure all external-facing materials are cohesive, polished, and aligned with our brand and business objectives. • Build and lead a small, high-output marketing and creative team over time.
