Role Description We are seeking an experienced and strategic Clinical Manager, Occupational Health to join our Occupational Health Solutions team. This role is responsible for leading clinical governance, quality assurance, and continuous improvement across Aspen Medical’s occupational health services. - Lead clinical governance and quality assurance across occupational health services, including oversight of service partners, providers, and compliance with NSQHS, RACGP, Aspen Medical’s Clinical Governance Framework, and client-specific standards. - Oversee incident and complaints management, audits, reviews, and risk assessments to ensure timely resolution, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement in clinical quality and safety. - Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management to clinical team members, fostering capability development and a culture of accountability. - Support innovation and continuous improvement across occupational and virtual health services, contributing to service enhancement and operational excellence. - Monitor provider performance against clinical KPIs, contractual obligations, and service standards, using data analysis and reporting to inform improvements and outcomes. - Develop and refine clinical policies, frameworks, SOPs, and governance systems to support safe, compliant, and efficient service delivery. - Act as a senior escalation point for complex clinical issues and service challenges while building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, partner clinics, and subcontracted providers. - Design and develop contemporary, evidenced based health solutions that align with industry standards and requirements for new clients. Qualifications - Current and unrestricted AHPRA registration (e.g. Registered Nurse or Medical Practitioner). - Minimum of 5 years’ experience in clinical leadership, occupational health, or clinical governance. - Demonstrated experience in clinical quality improvement, audits, and risk management. - Strong knowledge of clinical governance frameworks and regulatory standards (e.g. NSQHS, RACGP). - Proven ability to lead teams and influence stakeholders across multidisciplinary environments. - Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills. - Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive improvements. Requirements - Postgraduate qualification in health management, clinical governance, or occupational health (highly desirable). - Experience working with outsourced or partner-based healthcare delivery models (highly desirable). - Familiarity with accreditation systems (e.g. NSQHS, ISO, Riskman) (highly desirable). - Experience in commercial or corporate health services environments (highly desirable). - Interest in innovation, including digital or virtual health service delivery (highly desirable). About the Role As a Virtual Health Clinician, you will provide telephone‑based clinical assessment and health advice across a broad range of presentations, including acute and sub‑acute concerns, information‑seeking calls, mental health presentations, and both adult and paediatric callers, with assessment guiding advice, escalation, or referral as appropriate. You’ll use your acute or emergency background to: - Conduct comprehensive telephone triage and clinical assessments - Provide accurate health advice across all age groups and clinical presentations - Determine urgency and recommend the most appropriate care pathway - Refer callers to services including GPs, Urgent Care Clinics, or Virtual Emergency Departments This is a fully remote role, allowing you to work-from-home while continuing to contribute meaningfully to the National healthcare system.
