Role Description The Revenue Cycle Specialist is responsible for the management of the financial lifecycle of patient care, ensuring accurate billing, timely claims processing, and timely reimbursement for services. Job Location: Remote Supervisory Responsibilities - None Duties/Responsibilities - Cash Applications - Posts payments, adjustments, and denials from all payers and patients. - Ensures all transactions are recorded promptly and accurately in accordance with internal accounting policies. - Identifies payments not being paid at the allowed/contracted amount and communicates this to the Director. - Process demographic, tax, banking (EFT) updates in a timely manner. - Audit insurance and patient accounts to determine if refund is needed, and process refunds if appropriate. - Correspondence - Downloads and distributes all correspondence, EOB’s, and ERA’s as received from all sources (Mail, Payer Portals, Banking Lockbox, Fax, Email). - Patient Relationships - Manage patient billing inquiries, set up payment plans, and follow up on outstanding balances. - Engage directly with patients to explain their bills, resolve billing inquiries, and establish payment for outstanding balances, ensuring a positive patient experience. - Generate monthly patient statements. - Billing and Collections - Prepare and correct claims to cleanly pass from the EMR to clearinghouse. - Perform posting of charges and completion of claims to payers in a timely manner. - Resolve patient accounts through the correction of billing edits and clearinghouse rejections. - Navigate portals to send claims for adjudication. - Prepare invoices to send to third party payers. - Reporting and Analysis - Generate reports on revenue cycle performance to identify trends in payments, denials, and accounts receivable. - Cross Functional Support - Partner with all internal and external RCM teams to ensure seamless integration and operations of revenue cycle functions. - Perform other duties as assigned by the Billing Director, contributing to special projects, process improvements, and operational readiness. Qualifications - High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred. - Two or more years of medical billing experience. - Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage deadlines. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Clear professional written and verbal communication. - Ability to interpret payer and regulatory requirements. - Effective time management and prioritization. - Collaborative and service-oriented mindset. Physical Requirements - Ability to sit for extended periods and use a computer and phone regularly. - Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. - Occasional overtime may be required to meet operational deadlines. - Ability to work in a remote environment. Role Description We are seeking a hands-on, strategic Director of Human Resources to lead and scale HR operations for a growing outpatient orthopedic physical therapy organization. This role supports clinic teams (PTs, OTs, SLPs, front office staff, and clinic directors) and owns the full employee lifecycle. The ideal candidate blends HR leadership, Rippling HRIS expertise, benefits administration, and operational execution in a multi-site healthcare environment. Duties/Responsibilities - HR Leadership & Clinic Partnership - Partner with executive leadership and clinic directors on workforce planning, retention, and growth - Support de novo clinic launches and staffing models - Advise leaders on employee relations, performance management, and team development - Reinforce a patient-first, service-driven culture - HRIS Administration (Rippling) - Serve as primary administrator for Rippling HRIS - Build and manage workflows for onboarding, job changes, and offboarding - Ensure data accuracy, reporting, and audit readiness - Partner with Finance and Payroll on integrations and data integrity - Benefits Administration - Oversee health, dental, vision, retirement, and ancillary benefits - Manage open enrollment and vendor relationships - Support employees with benefits education and questions - Employee Lifecycle Management - Own onboarding experience for new grad and experienced clinicians - Manage offboarding processes and exit insights - Administer LOA programs - HR Operations & Compliance - Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws - Maintain HR policies and employee handbook - Support performance management processes - Projects & Growth Initiatives - Lead HR projects supporting clinic expansion and scalability - Improve processes to enhance employee experience and retention - Support mentorship programs and clinician development pathways Qualifications - 5–8+ years of HR experience with leadership responsibilities - Experience in healthcare or multi-site environments - Strong HRIS experience (Rippling preferred) - Knowledge of benefits administration and employment law Preferred Qualifications - Experience in outpatient physical therapy or rehabilitation settings - Experience in high-growth or multi-location organizations - HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) Required Skills/Abilities - Strategic and hands-on leadership - Strong systems and analytical mindset - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Adaptability in fast-paced environments Compensation $100,000 to $130,000 commensurate with skills and experience Other Duties Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Position Summary Arete Health is seeking a high-energy, personable, and results-driven Talent Acquisition Business Partner (TABP) to lead full-cycle recruitment across our growing outpatient physical therapy platform. This role is pivotal in building strong pipelines of physical therapists, occupational therapists, support staff, and entrepreneurial clinicians who will partner with us to open de novo clinics. The TABP must thrive in a fast-paced, people-centric environment where relationships, execution, and cultural alignment matter as much as results. Key Responsibilities Recruiting & Sourcing - Own full-cycle recruitment (sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer negotiation, and onboarding coordination). - Source clinical and leadership talent with a focus on PTs/OTs and support staff for outpatient physical therapy clinics. - Leverage connections with PT/OT universities to engage new graduates and students. - Proactively develop relationships with entrepreneurial PTs interested in de novo partnership opportunities. - Utilize major job boards, social media, and niche recruiting platforms to attract top talent. - Build and maintain an active pipeline of candidates for current and future openings. Market & Relationship Development - Live and work in the Mid-Atlantic or Southeastern U.S., with established industry networks in these regions. - Travel into markets to meet clinicians, visit clinics, and immerse in local clinic cultures. - Attend national and regional industry events (APTA PPS, CSM, AOTA, and other recruiting conferences). - Partner with internal leaders (operations, clinical, HR, marketing) and external brand partners to anticipate hiring needs and shape recruiting strategies. Cross-Functional Collaboration - Partner with clinic directors, regional leaders, and executives to ensure alignment on recruiting goals. - Collaborate with HR, Marketing, and Operations to develop creative recruiting campaigns and strengthen Arete Health’s employer brand. - Support cultural onboarding by aligning hires with The Arete Way (excellence, 1% better every day, team-first, servant leadership). Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Performance will be measured by both quantitative recruiting results and qualitative impact on Arete Health’s culture and growth. - Time to Fill: Days to fill open PT/OT positions. - Quality of Hire: Retention rate at 6 months; % of hires meeting or exceeding performance expectations. - Candidate Pipeline: Number of engaged candidates per role and total pipeline depth. - Sourcing Mix: % of hires from direct sourcing vs. job boards vs. referrals. - Offer Acceptance Rate: % of offers accepted. - University & Event Engagement: Number of schools, conferences, and events attended annually; # of student connections made. - Partnership Talent Sourcing: # of entrepreneurial PTs sourced and engaged for de novo discussions. - Candidate & Hiring Manager Satisfaction: Feedback surveys and Net Promoter Score (NPS). Experience with Comeet/Sparkhire preferred. -Experience attending job fairs and networking events in person - Ability to connect with new grads and early-career clinicians, speaking their language and building trust. - Willingness and ability to travel frequently (up to 25–30%) for market visits, events, and strategy sessions. - Entrepreneurial mindset with experience identifying, recruiting, and inspiring PTs with ownership potential. -Ability to work EST hours.
