• Administer, maintain, and optimize cloud-hosted application instances across Azure environments. • Deploy and manage both web-based and desktop-based applications, including application delivery via Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD). • Design, implement, and maintain integration workflows between SaaS platforms, VM-hosted applications, and third‑party APIs. • Monitor application and infrastructure health, performance, and usage; proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve operational issues. • Manage application and infrastructure configurations, including patching, updates, version control, and security/compliance enforcement. • Implement automation for deployment, configuration management, and operational tasks using DevOps best practices. • Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and process improvements that enhance operational efficiency, reliability, and scalability. • Other duties as assigned

• Engineer secure solutions supporting Cyber Threat and Defensive Operations for DoD enclave environments. • Integrate, configure, and monitor Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, Azure Policy, Azure Monitor, and Log Analytics. • Automate threat assessment, security reporting, and continuous monitoring workflows. • Develop and maintain Azure-based detections, dashboards, alerts, and automated response playbooks. • Perform and document technical security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies. • Implement and validate security controls and secure configurations in alignment with DoD, NIST, and organizational policies. • Support all phases of the RMF lifecycle, including control selection, implementation, assessment, authorization, and continuous monitoring. • Mitigate or correct security deficiencies identified during assessments, testing, or audits, and provide risk acceptance recommendations to the ISSM. • Analyze, assess, and report system and organizational security posture trends to the ISSM/ISSO. • Support audit preparation, artifact collection, and evidence validation for compliance activities. • Ensure security operations, configuration changes, and maintenance activities are properly documented and kept current. • Evaluate cybersecurity tools, compensating controls, and security technologies to ensure risk is reduced to acceptable levels, and report findings to the ISSM. • Assist the ISSM/ISSO in developing and maintaining RMF documentation, including System Security Plans (SSPs), security diagrams, control evidence, and ATO package materials. • Ensure security documentation and SSPs remain current and compliant with applicable DoD and program-specific policies. • Support incident response investigations by analyzing security logs, alerts, and system activity.

• Deploy and configure the Arkloud Platform into Government-provided cloud enclaves across IL5, IL6, and TS environment tiers. • Provision and manage Azure infrastructure resources — including Virtual Machines, Key Vaults, AKS clusters, and storage — within authorized enclave boundaries. • Implement and manage Kubernetes-based workloads and container orchestration across classification tiers using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). • Implement Salt-based configuration management to enable dynamic VM provisioning, drift remediation, and consistent baseline enforcement across all enclave tiers. • Deploy and integrate required infrastructure components, hosted software, and platform integrations within approved enclave boundaries. • Establish OS hardening and software baselines per applicable STIGs across all delivered systems and environment tiers. • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Bicep, Terraform, or equivalent tooling to support repeatable, configuration-controlled deployments. • Ensure all deployed components meet enclave-specific security requirements and applicable STIG baselines. • Produce engineering-quality delivery documentation including deployment guides, configuration baselines, and integration instructions suitable for classified Government review. • Maintain code and configuration artifacts in a Git repository with clear, structured documentation supporting Government acceptance and knowledge transfer. • Coordinate with Developer and ISSE team members on integration, issue resolution, and cross-discipline delivery activities.

Role Description Applied Research Solutions is seeking a Senior Enterprise Architect to help provide guidance to program leadership, external partners, and a prime contractor to deliver solutions that meet the evolving needs of the warfighter and propel strategic national security objectives. The selected individual will engage with stakeholders across the Department of Defense, dictating the alignment of IT programs and initiatives with enterprise-level IT strategy and roadmaps. This position demands a proactive leader with a customer-centric vision and an unwavering commitment to enabling the mission through groundbreaking technical solutions. This is a full-time position located at Hanscom AFB, Bedford, MA or Remote possibility. • Provide operational leadership and coordination across a DoW technology program • Serve as the central point of accountability for day-to-day operations • Oversee help desk operations, supporting the deployment and operation of cloud-hosted applications in Microsoft Azure • Facilitate Change Control Boards and ensure program tools and documentation remain current and accessible • Coordinate across teams and stakeholders to drive tasks, action items, and decisions to resolution • Identify and remove operational blockers, escalating with context and recommended solutions when needed • Maintain clear visibility into program status and communicate proactively to program leadership • Monitor help desk metrics and trends, escalating recurring issues or systemic patterns to program leadership • Support onboarding and oversight of help desk staff, ensuring adherence to security and operational standards • Oversee the deployment and operation of cloud-hosted applications in Microsoft Azure • Coordinate with technical staff to ensure application environments are maintained, monitored, and operating within DoD security and compliance requirements • Facilitate Change Control Board meetings, ensuring proposed changes are reviewed, documented, and approved in accordance with program processes • Maintain CCB records and track the status of approved, pending, and rejected changes • Support preparation of program status updates, reports, and customer-facing deliverables as needed

• Support the annual budget process, coordinating with key budget owners to gather inputs as needed to help develop overall corporate budget • Review expense trends to maintain accurate forecast and distribute forecast updates as needed • Proactively optimize the current reporting structure and analysis • Analyze monthly results and research variances to budget and forecasts, providing Accounting, Program Control, and/or Function/Department feedback on adjustments as needed • Distribute month-end budget v actual reports to Senior Management and develop reporting packages for these key stakeholders, addressing related inquiries as needed • Compile and distribute various monthly and quarterly Management reporting, including company metrics and KPI’s • Drive continuous improvement in current reporting and modeling to provide key stakeholders better insight into company performance • Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance • Maintain and enhance indirect rate models, ensuring alignment with company strategy and cost structure • Analyze pool and base composition for early issue detection and proactive risk mitigation • Support provisional billing rate submissions and incurred cost submissions • Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis as required • Other duties as assigned
