Allcat Claims Service

• Independently manage a caseload of complex commercial claims, including but not limited to: property, general liability, professional liability, and business interruption losses • Conduct thorough investigations: interview claimants, witnesses, and policyholders; inspect loss sites; and coordinate with engineers, contractors, public adjusters, and forensic accountants as needed • Interpret commercial policy language to determine coverage, exclusions, and applicable limits • Set accurate and timely reserves based on exposure analysis • Negotiate settlements directly with policyholders, claimants, attorneys, and public adjusters within assigned settlement authority • Prepare detailed, well-documented claim file notes, coverage position letters, and reserve justifications • Identify and escalate potential fraud indicators or subrogation opportunities • Ensure compliance with state regulatory requirements, statutory deadlines, and unfair claims practices statutes

• Reviews incoming moderate to complex residential and commercial property estimates for accuracy and compliance with carrier-specific guidelines • Provides feedback to and collaborates with independent adjusters to correct estimates as necessary • Contributes to business goals, performance metrics, and effectively uses tools & technology • Supports workload surges and/or catastrophe operations as needed to include working significant overtime during designated catastrophe events • Acquires and applies knowledge of dwelling construction terminology and techniques, estimating best practices and Xactimate estimates

• Initiate outbound calls to insured customers within 24 hours on behalf of the insurance carrier • Provide adjuster contact information and clearly explain next steps in the claims process • Accurately document call attempts and customer interactions using provided templates and systems • Handle a high volume of calls while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail • Demonstrate empathy, patience, and strong communication skills when assisting customers • Adhere to assigned on-call schedules, including evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays

DESCRIPTION: This position can be located in our San Antonio office or working remotely from home and provides property claims service to customers using multiple communication channels. Reviews, evaluates and adjusts moderately complex to complex property claims. Confirms coverage and equitably settles claims in accordance with carrier guidelines and in compliance with all state regulatory requirements. Escalates problems to resolve any coverage issues or damage disputes. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: - Adjusts moderately complex to highly complex property claims. These claims include structure damage involving moderate to high dollar value and severity, personal property claims involving moderate to high value, and Additional Living Expense (ALE) claims involving moderate to high dollar value. - Handles customer escalations, DOI complaints and claims with public adjuster or attorney representation. - Contributes to business goals, performance metrics, and effectively uses tools & technology. - Supports workload surges and/or catastrophe operations as needed to include working significant overtime during designated catastrophe events. - Applies advanced knowledge of Property & Casualty insurance industry products, services, and processes to include P&C insurance policy contracts and coverage's and how they affect the status of the claim. - Serves as a resource to less experienced team members on escalated issues of a complex nature. - Partners with internal resources to facilitate claims resolution. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: - High School Diploma or GED. - Current TX adjuster license or ability to obtain TX adjuster license - 2 years property claims adjusting experience to include dwelling claims - Advanced property construction knowledge - Computer literate in a Windows operating environment. - Strong customer service, communication, organizational skills. - Ability to work with routine and/or repetitive activities but also be responsive to disruption and change, - Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and easily acclimates to changes in process/systems for overall improvement of the organization. - Must be accurate and detail-oriented. - Ability to learn new technologies. - Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, such as Outlook, Excel, and Word. - Suitable at home work space to allow for customer contact. PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: - 3+ years of experience handling non-CAT property claims from the desk. - 2+ years property claims experience handling water claims, including water mitigation. - Working knowledge of Symbility and Claims Connect. - Working knowledge of Guidewire-based claims management systems. - College degree and/or industry designations such as CPCU, AIC, SCLA.
