Role Description Agilious is seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst with a minimum of 10 years of experience to lead product discovery, requirements elicitation, and backlog management. In this role, you will analyze customer business needs, evaluate policies and workflows, and translate complex business processes into actionable technical requirements. As a vital bridge between business and technology, you will collaborate closely with customer stakeholders, Product Managers, Product Owners, and development teams. You will lead the collection, capture, and management of mission user needs across the entire lifecycle—from initial concept development and feature writing to development support and final deployment. Location/Remote: This position is primarily remote, with select day(s) working from a location in the DC-MD-VA metro region. Public Trust Clearance: Public Trust Clearance must be obtainable. What You’ll Do: - Requirements Elicitation & Backlog Management - Facilitate Discovery: Lead workshops, interviews, and discussions with stakeholders, partners, and end-users to elicit, analyze, and prioritize mission needs. - Deconstruct Scope: Collaborate with Product Managers and product teams to decompose large SAFe epics into features, user stories, and tasks that are clear and executable for the development team. - Define Acceptance Criteria: Partner with POs, stakeholders, and developers to establish robust user acceptance criteria for features and user stories. - Maintain Traceability: Facilitate and maintain end-to-end requirements traceability from the initial project vision through product delivery. - Agile & SAFe Execution - Backlog Refinement: Actively develop, refine, and maintain the product backlog in collaboration with the extended product team. - Release & PI Planning: Apply SAFe expertise to contribute heavily to release planning, Program Increment (PI) planning, and aligning team outputs with portfolio roadmaps. - Developer Alignment: Serve as a highly accessible resource for developers during sprints, workshops, and technical discussions regarding new functionality. - Process Improvement & Strategy - Drive Efficiency: Envision and design requirements for tool and workflow enhancements that streamline processes, reduce friction, and improve key performance metrics. - Stakeholder Alignment: Apply advanced facilitation techniques to create a shared understanding among diverse stakeholders and help shape product strategy. - Communication & Presentation - Bridge the Gap: Translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and confidently present findings, recommendations, and project scope. - Other similar professional duties may be assigned as needed. Qualifications - Experience Level: Senior (10+ Years) - Methodology: Agile / SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) - Core Experience: 10+ years of experience as a Senior Business Analyst or in a closely related position. - Agile/SAFe Expertise: Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience working within Agile implementation teams, specifically writing user stories, refining backlogs, and participating in release/PI planning. Strong experience with SAFe frameworks is required. - SDLC Mastery: Proven experience with the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) of Agile IT projects, including deep expertise in requirements definition, analysis, and documentation. - Tooling: Hands-on, proficient experience with Jira (or equivalent Agile management tools). - Autonomy & Delivery: Proven ability to see complex tasks through to completion without significant guidance; comfortable multitasking and managing shifting priorities across projects if required. - Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional oral, written, and presentation communication skills. Adept at collaborating as a team player alongside both highly technical resources and non-technical business partners. Education and Training - Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. - Master’s Degree in a related field preferred. - Subject matter expertise in the field of work. - Proven track record of work experience as a senior business analyst. Role Description Agilious is seeking an experienced Solution Architect to design and drive the development of cutting-edge, scalable software applications, translating complex business requirements into robust, cloud-native technical blueprints and ensuring seamless implementation from concept to deployment. As a consultant for Agilious, you will be instrumental in defining and shaping technical strategy across a range of high-priority domains, including IT modernization, software development, data analytics, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) programs. The Solution Architect serves as a critical bridge between customer mission outcomes and technical execution. Your primary responsibility will be to think strategically about complex customer challenges while providing the technical depth required to design architectures that are feasible, compliant, and highly competitive. What You’ll Do - Solution Design: Analyze business needs and design comprehensive, end-to-end architectural solutions (microservices, event-driven, etc.). Present solution concepts, roadmaps, staffing strategies, and architectures to customer stakeholders. - Technology Strategy: Select appropriate tech stacks, platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), languages C#, (.Net Core, Java, Python, low/no-code, etc.), and tools. - Guidance & Oversight: Provide technical leadership, guide development teams, and ensure adherence to architectural standards. - Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the bridge between business stakeholders, management, and development teams, communicating vision and progress. - Modern Practices: Champion Agile, DevOps, and cloud-native principles throughout the lifecycle. - Quality & Risk: Ensure solutions are scalable, performant, secure, and cost-effective; manage technical risks. - Prototyping & POCs: Develop proofs of concept to validate solutions. - Mission Alignment: Ensure that all designed solutions are strategically aligned with the customer's mission and agency-level goals. Engage directly with Federal and DoD customers to understand mission requirements and technical challenges. - Business Development & Capture: Work closely with Business Development (BD), Business Analyst, and Proposal Teams to shape and influence early-stage pursuits and develop tailored technical strategies. - Staffing & Execution Planning: Develop staffing plans, levels of effort (LOEs), and work breakdown structures (WBSs) to ensure solutions are executable, cost-effective, and compliant with solicitation requirements. Collaborate with pricing and program management teams to balance technical approach, staffing, and cost competitiveness. - Proposal Development: Serve as the lead technical author/reviewer, ensuring that all proposal content is compliant, compelling, and maximizes our Probability of Win (pWin). - Other similar professional duties may be assigned as needed. Qualifications - Must have at least minimum 10 years of industry experience in this role or a similar role. - Experience with Enterprise Architecture, and creating enterprise roadmaps. - Solution Architecture, particularly with software integrations, COTS integrations, SaaS, IaaS and PaaS implementations. - Experience with hybrid-cloud solution design and implementation. - Understanding of AI-based Software Delivery, and full SDLC implementation. - Understanding of Agentic AI frameworks and AI based workflow technologies. - Experience with various database technologies, including NoSQL & RDBMS, and knowledge of data architectures, database design and interface designs. - Experience with API gateways and Zero-Trust Architectures and understanding of AI Gateways. - Experience with Container & Serverless technologies and implementation on AWS, Azure of GCP. - Experience with DevSecOps practices, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Automatons. - Understanding of Machine Learning concepts and LLMs. - Adept at delivering complex digital projects, breaking down barriers to the team, and both planning at a higher level and getting into the details to make things happen when needed. - Proven experience supporting Federal or DoD proposals as a Solution Architect or Technical Lead. - Experience setting up teams for successful delivery by removing obstacles (or blockers to progress), and constantly helping the team to become more self-organizing. - Enterprise-level experience with large and complex IT modernization efforts, specifically including the successful delivery of IT software solutions. - Experience developing solutions and architectures for cloud-based, hybrid, and on-premises environments. - Proven experience in architecting complex web/software applications. - Deep understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and styles (microservices, serverless). - Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native architectures. - Proficiency in modern development practices (Agile, CI/CD, DevOps). - Strong programming background (Java, Python, C#) and hands-on technical ability. - Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. - Nice if you have experience with Analytical Platforms like Databricks or Snowflake.
