Role Description This is a 3-month contract (with the possibility to extend) built for a tech-savvy entrepreneurial mind with strong business acumen and strategic foresight. The role sits within our Signal Team, under supervision of the Signal Growth Lead, and general oversight from the Chief Executive Officer. The role is cross-functional and blends diverse skill sets such as: - Data analysis - AI-powered problem solving - Digital product development - Marketing and sales The main focus of this position is to accelerate the growth of 60 Decibels’ impact investing ecosystem map. Your challenge will be to take this map from a promising proof of concept to a value-adding asset for the entire sector. Specifically, the Senior Associate will: - Research the existing landscape of solutions providing data in the impact investing ecosystem. - Source best practices and tools to produce similar maps and data sets. - Design and iterate various GTM strategies. - Gather, aggregate, clean, structure and analyse large volumes of data from various internal and external sources. - Use AI tools (such as Claude, ChatGPT, Clay and other emerging platforms) confidently and creatively to accelerate research workflows, sharpen analysis, and raise the quality of every deliverable. - Build a data pipeline that is lean, meaning it requires a minimum amount of manual input. Qualifications - Some experience (5+ years) in consulting, research, social enterprise, impact investing, international development, marketing, growth, revenue operations, or a fast-paced corporate environment. - Strong understanding of the impact investing ecosystem — or strong curiosity about it. Practical experience at an investment fund or around impact reporting is a plus. - A natural affinity for data and comfort with analysis. Excellent Excel / Google Sheets skills (via AI tools or otherwise), and an easy relationship with new software. - Fluency and confidence using AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, Clay, and similar) to support research, analysis, writing, and workflow automation. - Superb communication skills, both verbal and written. - Great core skills of teamwork and project management, plus the soft skills — with the understanding that they aren't really "soft" at all. - A graduate degree (or progress toward one) in business, international development, public policy, or a related field — e.g. MBA, MPA, MPP, MA. - Comfort in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, with the ability to prioritize across multiple workstreams and a general orientation toward technology. Requirements - Problem solving: When you hit a wall — a messy dataset, an unresponsive campaign, a vague brief — you work the problem. You try things, learn fast, and come back with options rather than questions. - Proactiveness: You don't wait to be told. You see what needs doing, you pick it up, and you close the loop. You'd rather move the ball forward imperfectly than wait for perfect instructions. - Attention to detail: You spot the stray comma, the duplicate row, the broken logic in a sentence. You double-check before hitting send. Benefits - Unlimited leave policy. - Monthly recharge day, on the first Friday of each month. - Opportunity to work with a globally distributed team. Company Description We are a fun and hardworking global team that is full of smart, mission-driven folks who combine an entrepreneurial spirit with a commitment to make a positive change in the world. We consistently hear from our clients that the best thing about 60 Decibels is the people. Role Description We’re looking for a Product Associate to join the product team and work across our internal and external-facing products. This is a hands-on role that sits at the intersection of product, data, and operations - you’ll help shape what we build and why, ensure the quality of what we ship, and bring rigour to how we use data to make decisions. You'll work closely with the Head of Product and the Engineering team, getting deep into how our products work and why decisions get made. Early on, you'll own the execution - data quality, testing, ticket writing, and analysis - but the expectation is that you bring a point of view, not just output. Over time, you'll grow into owning product streams end-to-end: defining problems, driving decisions, and shaping what we build. What You’ll Do - Write clear, well-scoped tickets and maintain a healthy backlog alongside the Head of Product. - Run data extractions, quality checks, and analysis across product data sets. - Own QA and testing for features before release. - Unblock developers by clarifying requirements and removing ambiguity. - Help maintain product documentation and keep the team aligned on what’s shipped and what’s coming. - Use AI tools to move faster and fill gaps. - Synthesise user feedback, support tickets, and data to spot patterns. - Join customer calls and interviews to understand user needs. Over Time, You’ll Grow Into - Owning a full product stream end-to-end. - Running customer/internal user discovery and synthesising feedback into product direction. - Contributing to roadmap and medium-term planning. - Prototyping features and flows with AI tools. - Collaborating closely with other 60dB teams and providing product guidance. - Supporting AI transformation initiatives across the business. Qualifications - Confident working with data - spreadsheets, CSVs, basic SQL or willingness to learn. - Comfortable with project or product management tools (e.g., Notion). - Enough technical literacy to follow a developer’s explanation of a bug. - Regular user of AI tools with a view on their practical applications. Requirements - You think about problems from the user's perspective first. - You’re a detective, digging into issues to understand the root cause. - You’re conscientious and sweat the details. - Comfortable with ambiguity and able to make reasonable calls. - You’re tech-savvy and pick up new tools fast. - You communicate clearly in writing. - You’re proactive and self-directed. Benefits - Unlimited leave policy. - Monthly recharge day on the first Friday of each month. - Opportunity to work with a globally distributed team. 60 Decibels is a tech-powered impact measurement company that makes it easy to listen to the people who matter most. We've been in business as an independent entity since early 2019, when we spun out of the global Impact Investor Acumen. We believe that the best way to understand social impact is by talking to the people experiencing that impact. It sounds obvious when you say it, but that is not the typical practice for many impact investors, corporations and foundations working to create social change. We collect social impact data directly from beneficiaries (customers / employees / suppliers) using our network of 1000+ trained research assistants in 75+ countries. We do it quickly and without the fuss typically associated with measuring social impact. Our research assistants speak directly to customers to understand their lived experience; and our team turns all this data into benchmarked social performance reports, with accompanying insights, to help our clients demonstrate and improve social performance. By making impact measurement simple, scalable, and comparable, we not only enable organizations to improve their products and services; we also help transform what it means to credibly measure impact, ensuring that the voices of those who matter most are always part of the story. About the role: This is a 10-week minimum summer internship designed for experienced professionals who want to apply their skills at the cutting edge of social impact measurement. The role sits within our Services Team and combines client management, research strategy, data analysis and insight delivery. You will work directly with some of the world’s most exciting impact-driven organizations and have real autonomy in shaping how we deliver value. This role can be based remotely, although in-person candidates are preferred, subject to the candidate having the necessary work authorization. We have offices in New York, London, Bengaluru, and Nairobi. Specifically, the Summer Intern (Senior Associate) will: - Oversee end-to-end project execution, keeping a close eye on quality, timeline and alignment with client needs. - Contribute to final deliverables by shaping insights, adding context, and ensuring recommendations speak to what matters most for each client. - Use AI tools (such as Claude, ChatGPT and other emerging platforms) confidently and creatively to accelerate research workflows, improve data analysis, and enhance the quality of deliverables. - Contribute to the growth of 60dB by finding creative new ways to present our findings, and identifying new survey methods and business development opportunities. - Understand client learning goals, tailoring projects to deliver on their priorities, and thinking outside the box on how 60dB can add value and grow their impact. - Design surveys and research approaches to meet client needs, and present analysis and data in a way that helps clients take action and make better decisions. About You: First and foremost, you bring compassion and dedication to this work because it matters to you. You have an excellent eye for detail, thrive in an environment where you are juggling multiple things at once, and take personal accountability seriously: i.e. when you say you’re going to do something, you do it. We also expect that most candidates will have had the following experiences / attributes. If your experience set differs, but you think you’re the right person for the role, say that in your application. - A graduate degree, or current progress toward one, in business, international development, public policy, or a related field (for example an MBA, MPA, MPP, or MA) is strongly preferred. - A natural affinity towards data, and a high level of proficiency with analysis. - Fluency and confidence using AI tools (e.g. Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini) to support research, analysis, writing and workflow automation. You don’t need to be an engineer, but you should be an enthusiastic and resourceful user of AI in your daily work. - An orientation towards, and passion for, ‘client-delight’: you are always asking yourself ‘what can we do to improve our customer/client experience?’. - Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills. High levels of comfort with new technology and software. - Superb communication skills, both verbal and written. - Great core skills of problem solving, teamwork and project management. And great soft skills, plus the understanding that they’re not really “soft” at all. - Comfort in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment; awesome ability to prioritize and manage multiple workstreams; general interest in and orientation towards technology. Interested in applying? Deadline: Candidates are encouraged to apply early, as applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Duration: Minimum 10 weeks, with the possibility to extend pending performance and business needs. Location: This role can be based remotely, although in-person candidates are preferred, subject to the candidate having the necessary work authorization. We have offices in New York, London, Bengaluru, and Nairobi. Compensation: This opportunity qualifies for university-sponsored stipends or other forms of institutional funding. Candidates are encouraged to check eligibility with their university. About our team and our culture: we are a fun and hardworking global team that is full of smart, mission-driven folks who combine an entrepreneurial spirit with a commitment to make a positive change in the world.
