• Design, implement, and lead the rollout of a pragmatic, scalable, and adaptable enterprise Data Governance Framework. • Develop supporting policy and standards architecture (e.g., data classification, metadata management, data access and usage policies). • Embed governance by design into data pipelines, platforms, and data product development. • Lead the creation, approval, and adoption of data policies in close collaboration with Legal, Privacy, Security, GRC, and the Data Team. • Ensure alignment of governance policies with regulatory and contractual requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, internal risk policies). • Develop control frameworks to assess compliance and maturity across data domains. • Establish enterprise-wide data quality standards, metrics, and processes for issue detection and remediation. • Empower domain-aligned data stewards and owners by providing guidance, training, and governance tools. • Champion accountability and ownership of key data elements across the organization. • Collaborate with business unit leaders, product managers, and engineers to operationalize governance policies across systems and workflows. • Drive adoption of governance principles across federated data teams through forums, working groups, and training. • Clearly articulate the business value and regulatory importance of data governance to technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Support change management initiatives to increase understanding, adoption, and integration of governance practices into daily operations. • Lead the Data Governance Council and Data Steward Forums to sustain engagement and drive accountability. • Recommend and support the implementation of data governance tooling (e.g., catalog, lineage, glossary, policy manager) in partnership with the Data Team. • Define and track KPIs to assess framework rollout progress, data quality trends, and policy adoption.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Management Information Systems (MIS), Software Development, or a related technical field.
- 5 to 8 years of experience in data governance or enterprise data management roles.
- Deep expertise in designing and implementing data governance frameworks, policies, and standards.
- Strong cross-functional leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to drive alignment across Legal, Privacy, Security, GRC, and Data teams.
- Proven ability to communicate complex governance concepts to varied audiences and influence adoption.
- Familiarity with data governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Alation, Informatica) and modern data platforms.
- Must have big x or boutique consulting experience
- Experience leading data governance initiatives in a federated or hub-and-spoke data organization.
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, and AI governance standards.
- DCAM, CDMP, or equivalent data governance certification is a plus.

Role Description We are seeking a Healthcare Data Scientist (Real-World Evidence) to answer complex healthcare and biopharma questions using large-scale real-world data and help shape the next generation of AI-powered clinical research. This is a hands-on role that combines rigorous real-world evidence analysis with deep collaboration across product, AI, and customer teams. Internally, you will partner closely with Medeloop's AI research and product teams to: - Design and execute real-world evidence analyses - Evaluate the performance of our clinical research agents - Apply your scientific expertise to improve how our platform reasons about healthcare data Externally, you will serve as an embedded data scientist for our partner institutions, working directly with clinicians, researchers, and life sciences organizations to: - Scope research questions - Deliver high-quality evidence - Drive adoption of the platform - Expand each customer's use of Medeloop over time This is a highly technical role centered on analytical reasoning, statistical rigor, and scientific problem-solving. Your work will directly influence both the intelligence of our AI systems and the real-world impact they create for healthcare and life sciences organizations. Qualifications - PhD, or a Master’s degree minimum plus 5+ years of industry experience, in a quantitative-health field (biostatistics, epidemiology, clinical trials, public health, health informatics, or health economics). PhD preferred; strong industry experience can substitute for the doctorate. - Strong grounding in real-world data/evidence (RWD/RWE) methodology, with domain experience in biostatistics, epidemiology, clinical trials, or public health. - Proven ability to answer complex clinical or biopharma questions using SQL and Python, plus statistical software (R and/or SAS). - Experience with large healthcare datasets, such as claims or EHR data (clinical coding systems, ICD/CPT/RxNorm), assumed to come with an RWE background. - Track record of producing rigorous, research-grade analyses, reports, or publications; comfort working with messy, high-dimensional data. - AI/ML experience required, with clear evidence of hands-on use; comfortable reviewing code and reasoning about model outputs. - Strong communicator; customer-facing experience preferred (trainable for the right analytical candidate). Requirements - Experience working directly with customers and in a sales capacity. - Industry background strongly preferred over consulting (industry candidates preferred over consultants).
• Data organization: organize, catalog, and structure heterogeneous environmental and geospatial datasets using consistent metadata and controlled vocabularies, with clear provenance, so they can be combined consistently and reproducibly. • Analytical logic: help define how rules and analytical logic are represented, versioned, and evaluated against layered datasets, with traceable analytical lineage from inputs to results. • Data product design: define what analytical inputs and outputs should contain, including data, results, and metadata, the schemas that represent them, and how those schemas evolve over time. • Domain reasoning: bring environmental and hydrologic domain knowledge to bear on how data is weighted, interpreted, and encoded into rules. • Validation & QA: develop checks, test cases, and validation logic to confirm that rules produce correct, explainable, and consistent results. • Documentation & collaboration: document data schemas, analytical logic, and data sources; collaborate across the Science, Engineering, and Platform teams to keep the system understandable, accessible, and maintainable.
