• Customer-Facing Engineering – Work closely with customers from onboarding to ongoing usage, helping them integrate and optimize our AI solutions. • Technical Development – Build new features, MVPs, and scalable solutions that directly impact customer outcomes. • Full-Stack Development – Utilize React, TypeScript, Node.js, and Python to develop robust applications and tools. • AI/ML Applications – Design, implement, and iterate on AI/ML solutions, including LLM prompting, tuning of voices, and transcribers to optimize use cases. • Integration & APIs – Manage APIs and integrations with third-party systems to ensure seamless functionality for customers. • Cross-Functional Collaboration – Partner with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to deliver tailored solutions. • Iterative Problem-Solving – Continuously iterate and improve AI solutions based on customer feedback and evolving requirements. • Project Management – Prioritize and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality results.

Job Requirements

  • Strong full-stack experience: React, TypeScript, Node.js.
  • Hands-on proficiency in Python.
  • Experience building AI/ML applications, including LLM prompting and tuning.
  • Ability to manage APIs and integrate with third-party systems.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.

Role Description WSP is currently initiating a search for a Protective Relaying Engineer - Lead Professional for our Seattle, WA office. Candidates near Denver, CO or Charlotte, NC will also be considered. The ability to work remotely from a mutually acceptable location in the United States will be considered. Be involved in projects with our Electrical Studies, SCADA, and Protection (ESSP) team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our clients' objectives and solves their challenges. The successful applicant will have a direct role in the design, engineering, and studies of protection systems for equipment on the bulk power system. This includes the protection of: - Substations - Transmission lines - Generators - Renewables - Industrial systems - Distribution systems Your Impact: - Familiarity, experience, or expertise with the following: - Protective Relaying: Symmetrical component analysis, protection philosophy development, relay settings, and integration with SCADA systems. - Protection Analyses: Electrical model development, short circuit, time-current coordination, arc flash, NERC compliance, and event analysis. - Leadership: Lead teams on client projects to meet the scope, schedule, and budget. Requirements - Preference will be given to applicants with a proven history of completing similar projects in a consulting environment. - Preference may be given to engineers with commissioning and testing experience, or strong skills in protecting equipment at high voltages (69kV and higher). - Preference is also given to applicants with experience mentoring others and a willingness to do so.
