Role Description The Vulnerability Management Engineer III is responsible for leading vulnerability identification, assessment, prioritization, remediation tracking, and reporting activities across enterprise environments. This role serves as a subject matter expert on vulnerability management platforms, security risk analysis, automation, and compliance reporting. This position is contingent upon contract award. - Administer and optimize enterprise vulnerability management platforms. - Conduct vulnerability scanning, assessment, and remediation tracking. - Analyze CVEs, CVSS scores, threat intelligence, and exploitability. - Develop remediation plans with system owners and infrastructure teams. - Automate vulnerability reporting, ticketing, and remediation workflows. - Produce executive-level dashboards and security metrics. - Support federal audits, security assessments, and compliance activities. - Develop standard operating procedures and platform documentation. - Improve asset inventory accuracy and vulnerability coverage. - Assist with patch management coordination and verification. Role Description WSP is currently initiating a search for a Protective Relaying Engineer - Lead Professional for our Seattle, WA office. Candidates near Denver, CO or Charlotte, NC will also be considered. The ability to work remotely from a mutually acceptable location in the United States will be considered. Be involved in projects with our Electrical Studies, SCADA, and Protection (ESSP) team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our clients' objectives and solves their challenges. The successful applicant will have a direct role in the design, engineering, and studies of protection systems for equipment on the bulk power system. This includes the protection of: - Substations - Transmission lines - Generators - Renewables - Industrial systems - Distribution systems Your Impact: - Familiarity, experience, or expertise with the following: - Protective Relaying: Symmetrical component analysis, protection philosophy development, relay settings, and integration with SCADA systems. - Protection Analyses: Electrical model development, short circuit, time-current coordination, arc flash, NERC compliance, and event analysis. - Leadership: Lead teams on client projects to meet the scope, schedule, and budget. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers. - Data Acquisition: Support infrequent onsite visits to collect data and discuss project specifics at an appropriate technical level for clients. - Industry Standards: Working knowledge or awareness of applicable industry practices for protection as outlined in IEEE, ANSI, or NERC PRC standards. - Organized: Flexibility to support a variety of project schedules to meet client needs and prioritize responsibilities effectively. - Applicable software: AcSELerator, Quickset, GE, Enervista, ASPEN, Oneliner, CAPE, SKM-PTW, ETAP, RSCAD. - Applicable hardware: SEL, GE, Siemens, ABB, Beckwith, RTDS. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET accredited). - 7 to 10 years of relevant post-education experience as an electrical engineer executing deliverables for Protective Relaying projects in power generation, transmission, and distribution at a utility, industrial, or commercial scale. - Professional Engineering (PE) license or ability to obtain one. - Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements. - Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies. Requirements - Preference will be given to applicants with a proven history of completing similar projects in a consulting environment. - Preference may be given to engineers with commissioning and testing experience, or strong skills in protecting equipment at high voltages (69kV and higher). - Preference is also given to applicants with experience mentoring others and a willingness to do so.
