• Identify and drive where ML/AI creates the most value across Productivity's user journeys • Toolify existing Productivity functionality so LLMs and agents can act on it • Partner with product, design and other engineering teams to shape AI strategy for Productivity • Set technical patterns and standards for how ML/AI gets applied and shipped across the team • Unblock organisational-level technical challenges that a single team can't solve alone • Mentor engineers and help raise the craft of applied ML engineering across the group • Balance speed and rigour, shipping AI features that hold up at Canva's scale • Translate shifts in user needs and the product roadmap into ML/AI priorities

• Be the technical authority on authorisation and authentication across the Kairos and Nexus platforms • Architect, engineer, and operate enterprise-scale identity and access solutions • Work directly with the team building the Authorisation subdomain • Design and implement IAM patterns that are adopted as standards across IFS • Ensure identity and access are enablers, not bottlenecks • Build the authorisation APIs and SDKs that product teams consume • Own the operation of the authorisation engine: SpiceDB on PostgreSQL • Define IAM patterns, standards, and golden paths for product teams to implement securely • Provide subject-matter expertise on identity and access security

• Define the roadmap for internal AI chat and agent platform. • Deploy and extend an open-source frontend. • Build AI-native SWE workflows in GitLab. • Create sandboxes for AI development with safety policies. • Develop AI observability and cost tracking systems. • Own the AI gateway layer for model routing. • Collaborate with security/compliance director to ensure requirements are met. • Report periodically to leadership on friction points and opportunities.

• Liderar tecnicamente a evolução da plataforma corporativa de IA e suas capacidades compartilhadas. • Definir padrões de governança para utilização de LLMs, AI Gateway, Skills, MCPs e agentes inteligentes. • Projetar arquiteturas e frameworks reutilizáveis para acelerar iniciativas de IA em toda a organização. • Conduzir avaliações de novas tecnologias e definir a estratégia de evolução da plataforma. • Estabelecer padrões de MLOps, MLflow, versionamento e governança para soluções de IA. • Atuar como referência técnica para Analytics Engineers e demais times consumidores da plataforma. • Trabalhar em conjunto com Cybersecurity, Arquitetura e Platform Engineering para garantir segurança, escalabilidade e conformidade das soluções. • Mentorar engenheiros e disseminar boas práticas de AI Platform Engineering.
