Role Description We're looking for a Senior QA Engineer to build the next generation of Quality Engineering at GOARC. You'll define the company's testing strategy, build our automation foundation from the ground up, and introduce AI-driven approaches that fundamentally improve how quality is delivered. You'll work closely with Product and Engineering to embed quality throughout the development lifecycle, helping us ship faster while maintaining the high reliability our customers expect. This is a high-impact, high-ownership role where you'll influence engineering decisions, introduce modern QA practices, and help define the future of quality at GOARC. What You'll Do - Build the company’s automated testing foundation from scratch for a large, mature product with many modules, workflows, integrations, and customer configurations. - Define and execute an automation strategy based on product risk, business impact, and engineering priorities. - Design scalable test architecture, reusable frameworks, and CI/CD integration to support a growing product. - Ensure high release quality through a combination of automation, exploratory testing, and risk-based validation. - Leverage AI to accelerate test creation, improve coverage, analyze failures, and optimize QA workflows. - Develop reliable automated tests across UI, APIs, databases, integrations, and complex customer environments while minimizing test maintenance. Qualifications - 5+ years of hands-on Software QA experience, including both manual and automation testing. - Proven experience building automated UI, API, and end-to-end tests (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Postman, or similar). - Strong understanding of modern web applications, REST APIs, databases, debugging techniques, and CI/CD. - Practical experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar to improve testing workflows. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a root-cause mindset. - Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating closely with Product and Engineering teams. - Curiosity, ownership, and a passion for continuously improving quality. - Willingness to work in a remote-first environment with a high level of ownership and autonomy. • Design, build, and own full-stack, AI-powered internal applications, including backend services, APIs, data storage, and user-facing interfaces. • Develop custom agentic solutions that leverage state-of-the-art AI models (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini) to automate workflows, augment decision-making, and scale business processes. • Embed within internal teams to deeply understand their goals, constraints, and key metrics, then translate those needs into technical solutions with clear success criteria. • Own projects end-to-end, including technical design, architecture decisions, scoping, delivery, iteration, and ongoing support. • Collaborate with non-technical stakeholders to expand their understanding of what’s possible with AI and help shape more ambitious solutions. • Build reliable, scalable systems that are used across the organization and touch critical parts of TRM’s operations. • Continuously evaluate impact, iterating on solutions quarter-over-quarter based on measurable business outcomes. • Contribute to a fast-moving, high-ownership engineering culture that values quality, velocity, and real-world impact.

• Collaborate with internal and external customers to design and implement innovative HVAC control sequences. Provide expert troubleshooting support and guidance to resolve system issues. Advise stakeholders on optimizing and enhancing control system performance to meet operational and energy efficiency goals • Coordinate with development and product teams to automate deployments and develop tools that streamline system rollouts, including products powered by our AI-driven optimization algorithms. • Support, debug, and continuously improve global smart building deployment tools, algorithms, templates, and processes to ensure scalability and reliability. • Develop and maintain web-based monitoring, data-driven analytics, and building control systems meeting internal and external client needs. • Collaborate cross-functionally to test, troubleshoot, bug-fix, and implement solutions across all deployed technologies—including AI algorithms and building controls. • Implement automation and process improvements for sustainable, self-operating services. • Manage new tools and features user acceptance testing and knowledge transfer to Operations team • Document work processes and technical procedures, including deployed algorithms, internal tools, and systems. • Balance priorities and time across multiple projects, ensuring on-time deliverables and accurate timesheet reporting. • Perform other related tasks as assigned.
