Account Engineer

Snowflake

• The Account Engineer manages a critical portfolio of new and early-stage customers, and is accountable for accelerating their time-to-value and achieving sustained platform growth. • Lead Your Account Micro-Business: Take ownership of the technical success and consumption trajectory within your assigned portfolio, driving adoption metrics in your assigned accounts, acting as a single point of contact for all customer needs. • Driving Outcome-Based Utilization: Apply an outcome-based selling mindset to customer engagements, focusing on how the Snowflake AI Data Cloud helps them solve complex data challenges and unlock maximum business value—not just product features. • Strategic Advisory and Guidance: Serve as a trusted strategic advisor immediately following the initial contract close, providing guidance on data strategy, technology stack integration, and ensuring a swift, successful activation of Use Cases. • Deliver Technical Value with AI: Deliver technical value efficiently by leveraging cutting-edge AI-powered development tools and automation to accelerate solutions and implementation guidance, helping customers move faster to production. • Architectural Leadership: Provide customers with critical, Snowflake-specific foundational guidance, including Architectural Best Practices, Workload Isolation & Warehouse Utilization, Resource Monitoring & Alerts, Budgeting, and RBAC/Security Setup. • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with the Account Team to highlight risks and establish and nurture trusted relationships with internal Snowflake teams (e.g., Professional Services, Support) and external partners to ensure seamless resource orchestration. • Develop Scalable Programs: Create and deliver reusable, high-impact programs, such as Hands-on Labs (HoLs) and webinars, to educate a wide customer audience on specific platform features and industry best practices. • Technical Feedback Loop & Innovation: Act as a key feedback loop from the field to influence future product development, working closely with Product Management and Engineering teams. • Expert Support and Triage: Efficiently triage a broad array of incoming customer inquiries, assisting the field team with demos, troubleshooting, and identifying opportunities to qualify potential business value for the Expansion team.

Job Requirements

  • Must be fluent in English
  • Must be able/willing to travel to the US when needed for onboarding & training
  • Technical Aptitude: Hands-on experience with SQL is required.
  • Data & Cloud Knowledge: Strong foundational understanding and experience with data architecture, data analytics, and the core concepts of major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Growth Mindset: A strong desire to learn, grow your technical skills, and become an expert in the Snowflake platform.
  • Professional Skills: Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and possess Project Management skills to track, manage, and drive customers to an agreed-upon timeline.
  • Education: University degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related fields, or equivalent practical experience in a technical role.
