Senior Forensic Engineer – Civil, Structural

• Lead projects and serve as the primary point of contact • Coordinate site visits, resources, and timelines to keep projects on track • Conduct site visits and testing to gather data across property types • Produce reports that combine inspection, testing, and analysis data to identify root cause and make recommendations on repair or replacement. • Support regional growth through recruiting and business development • Build and maintain strong client relationships while generating new work • Partner with business development on conferences and client outreach • Review and interpret relevant building codes as necessary for issues about the scope of work • Oversee the development of repair or replacement design scope, as needed.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Active PE license
- 10+ years of forensic engineering experience
- Proven ability to write comprehensive technical reports on inspection results
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Willingness to travel up to 50%

• Develop engineering design drawing and calculation packages from conceptual phase through detailed design and perform design reviews of the aforementioned civil/structural design components in support of the development of bid/construction packages for substation projects. • Ensure that the substation facility meets all applicable safety and environmental regulations, including storm water and Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) requirements. • Perform site design activities such as determining cut/fill for a grading plan, determining impervious additions and calculating water flow for erosion control and storm water control. • Perform design reviews on a regular basis, as well as developing junior staff members, and contributing to bids and proposal development. • Occasional site-visits to client substation facilities are expected to be part of the work, along with occasional travel for client meetings and industry-related events. • Provide design support to field personnel during project construction.
