• Build, ship, and operate backend services in Go for production use cases with real reliability and correctness requirements. • Design systems that process high-volume, event-driven data with clear audit trails and reproducible behavior. • Extend and improve existing platform capabilities without adding unnecessary complexity. • Partner closely with Product and Engineering to turn ambiguous financial-services problems into concrete technical solutions. • Build customer-facing AI features that apply LLMs and ML models to real compliance problems, with attention to evaluation, latency, cost, and failure handling in production. • Help raise engineering quality through strong technical judgment, mentoring, and pragmatic decision-making.

• Provision, configure, monitor, and decommission Debian-based virtual machines across Hyper-V, VMware ESXi, and OLVM environments using Cinc (Chef) and Ansible automation. • Perform routine Linux system administration, troubleshooting, and maintenance. • Participate in operating system upgrades and lifecycle management. • Develop, review, and maintain Cinc (Chef) cookbooks, Ansible playbooks, roles, data bags, and environments. • Improve infrastructure automation and configuration consistency. • Onboard servers into internal monitoring systems and Grafana. • Configure SNMP-based monitoring and alerting. • Investigate monitoring alerts and assist in resolving operational issues. • Participate in production monitoring during scheduled shifts. • Assist in operating shared infrastructure services, including: • RabbitMQ • Elasticsearch • Graylog • Grafana • Postfix mail relay clusters • BIND DNS servers • Sentry • Apply operating system and security updates through CI/CD pipelines and unattended upgrades. • Maintain firewall configurations (iptables, IP sets, F5 LTM/GTM). • Assist with TLS certificate lifecycle management using DigiCert and internal Certificate Authorities. • Participate in production incident response, disaster recovery activities, and post-incident reviews. • Help identify root causes and contribute to long-term operational improvements. • Maintain runbooks, operational documentation, knowledge base articles, and SaaS GRID documentation in Confluence. • Participate in infrastructure modernization initiatives, including: • Hypervisor migrations (VMware ESXi and Hyper-V to OLVM) • Debian major-version upgrades • Legacy platform migrations • Data center consolidation and decommissioning

• Lead the design and development of products and solutions for state governments and enterprise customers • Work side-by-side with customer delivery leads, engineers, and UX designers to ensure successful projects delivery and deployments • Translate customer requirements into technical architectures and working implementations • Act as a trusted technical advisor to public sector partners, guiding them through standards adoption and best practices • Build backend software and full-stack web and mobile applications that meet public sector security, privacy, and accessibility standards • Contribute to new and existing Rust codebases that run on backend services, mobile devices, and in the browser • Manage customer deployments and support operations

• Define technical strategy and architecture for public sector deployments, ensuring both technical excellence and alignment with policy and operational needs • Act as the senior technical representative in executive-level customer meetings, bridging the gap between technical details and business or policy outcomes • Lead multiple end-to-end multi-year projects from rapid prototyping to development to operations and maintenance • Architect and build backend systems, full-stack web applications, and mobile solutions with a focus on security, privacy, and accessibility • Translate government requirements into robust, standards-based solutions that integrate with both modern and legacy systems • Mentor and guide forward deployed engineers and delivery teams, setting standards for high-quality engineering and customer collaboration • Identify and drive efficiencies across projects, ensuring knowledge and tooling are shared across teams • Collaborate with platform teams to feed customer insights into SpruceID’s roadmap and contributions to global identity standards
