Senior Principal DevSecOps Engineer

• Enhance and maintain existing software development pipelines and extend the pipelines to include automated deployment and test (CI/CD) • Proactively research new CI/CD solutions, tools (DevSecOps platform), and capabilities, and develop migration strategies for effective adoption • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g. software and integration & test) to address bottlenecks, automate testing, improve efficiency, and increase software security • Standardize and document DevOps processes and train team members • Support IT department in the administration and maintenance of tools to ensure compliance with security requirements • Provision new projects, software source code, configuration repositories, and user access • up to 25% travel to the Fulton site for meetings/customer engagements
Job Requirements
- Experience with automated software build, test, and deployment
- Experience with the implementation of a DevSecOps platform such as GitLab
- Experience with CI/CD Pipeline tools such as Maven, Make, Git, Docker, Buildkit, Artifactory, Sonatype, and Jenkins
- Experience with container orchestration applications such as Kubernetes
- Scripting experience in Linux environment (e.g. Perl, Python, Bash)
- Supporting software solutions in virtualized environments (e.g. VMWare, Containers)
- Investigating, adjudicating, and resolving security issues in third-party software, Docker images, and development environments
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Role Description We are seeking an experienced Kubernetes & OpenShift Engineer to design, deploy, and operate enterprise-grade Red Hat OpenShift container platforms running mission-critical workloads across on-premises and cloud environments. In this role you will own the end-to-end platform lifecycle — from cluster provisioning and hardening, through workload onboarding and developer enablement, to ongoing operations and continuous improvement. - The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in OpenShift and Kubernetes internals. - Strong Linux fundamentals and a security-first mindset are essential. - Will partner with application teams, security engineers, and infrastructure stakeholders to deliver a stable, secure, and developer-friendly container platform. Qualifications - Five or more years of experience operating container platforms in production, with at least three years on Red Hat OpenShift. - Deep, hands-on knowledge of Kubernetes and OpenShift internals, including operators, CRDs, RBAC, and networking. - Strong Linux administration skills, including networking, performance tuning, and troubleshooting. - Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Helm. - Solid experience implementing CI/CD pipelines on OpenShift or Kubernetes using Tekton, Jenkins, or Argo CD. - Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or Go. - Working knowledge of cluster monitoring, logging, and tracing tools. - Familiarity with container image security and supply chain hardening. - Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
