• Design and create engineering specifications for software applications and programs • Write code that adheres to coding standards • Perform code reviews • Participate in all scrum ceremonies and assist in sprint planning • Complete required sprints in the development through final execution of software applications/programs • Monitor technical process against project plan while safeguarding functionality, scalability and performance • Communicate any issues/blockers to the Scrum Master in a timely manner • Drive story creation (DoD, Acceptance Criteria, estimation) • Create Tasks for stories and update status accordingly • Mentor other associate software engineers as needed

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend software processors that ingest, validate, transform, and distribute real-time weather data. • Collaborate with software engineers, data operations, product managers, and business stakeholders to design and implement processing solutions that support AccuWeather's consumer and enterprise products. • Develop new processing capabilities and enhance existing processors to support new weather data providers, data formats, business requirements, and product features. • Design and implement database schemas and supporting SQL objects used by backend processing applications. • Develop software that is reliable, maintainable, testable, and observable, with a focus on successful deployment and operation in production environments. • Collaborate with Enterprise Database Administrators and other platform teams to test, deploy, and maintain database changes in production. • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects, production issues, and operational incidents affecting weather data processing systems. • Write and maintain technical documentation for software components, processing workflows, system changes, and operational procedures. • Revise and enhance existing software to improve functionality, performance, reliability, and maintainability. • Stay current with emerging technologies and software development best practices, applying them where appropriate to improve team capabilities and processing systems. • Contribute to the continuous improvement of team workflows, quality assurance practices, documentation, and development processes.

• Support the design, development, and implementation of diverse applications using web technologies. • Create and maintain detailed technical product and end user support documentation. • Evaluate requirements and propose high level design and technical solutions at all stages of development. • Analyze solutions and applications to ensure that they are interoperable, performant and maintainable. • Write high-quality and well-documented code for projects to ensure adherence to team and/or department coding standards. • Evaluate and provide accurate estimated timelines for development requirements. • Participate in and perform code reviews to ensure quality, proactive identification of defects, and recommend improvements. • Investigate and resolve complex technical challenges for assigned projects. • Maintain in-depth knowledge of technologies that will be used in new and existing modules of the solution (e.g., Machine Learning frameworks, data storage and capture frameworks etc.). • Advise and provide feedback and recommendations on quality technical design and industry trends. • Support in complex projects for other colleagues including, but not limited to, supporting the workflow and providing expert advice and solutions to escalated and complex project challenges and roadblocks. • Actively participate in setting and maintaining software development best practices within the department and team.
