Senior QA Engineer

AAR

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies for aviation maintenance, supply chain, and operational software solutions. • Create and maintain functional, integration, regression, performance, and end-to-end test plans. • Validate AI-driven workflows, intelligent recommendations, predictive analytics, and agentic automation capabilities. • Build and maintain automated test frameworks for web applications, APIs, and backend services. • Collaborate with developers and product teams to define acceptance criteria and quality requirements during feature design. • Test integrations between Airvoyant and external enterprise systems, including ERP, MRO, inventory, procurement, and supplier platforms. • Validate data accuracy, completeness, and integrity across application workflows and reporting systems. • Perform API testing and verify microservices interactions across distributed systems. • Support CI/CD pipelines through automated testing and release validation processes. • Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects through resolution. • Conduct performance, scalability, and reliability testing to ensure production readiness. • Develop test data, test environments, and quality metrics to support continuous improvement. • Participate in root cause analysis and troubleshooting efforts for production issues. • Document test approaches, quality standards, and release readiness assessments. • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5–7+ years of experience in software quality assurance for enterprise applications.
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, test planning, defect management, and quality processes.
  • Experience designing and executing automated test frameworks using tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar technologies.
  • Experience testing RESTful APIs and distributed systems using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience validating data within relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, or similar).
  • Experience testing cloud-native and microservices-based applications.
  • Hands-on experience working within AWS environments and validating cloud-based applications and services.
  • Working knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, API Gateway, CloudWatch, SQS/SNS, IAM, and EventBridge.
  • Experience testing event-driven architectures, asynchronous workflows, and cloud integrations within AWS ecosystems.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated release validation processes.
  • Understanding of modern software development practices, Agile methodologies, and DevOps workflows.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
