Role Description MATRIX is seeking a detail-oriented Civil Site Drafter / Designer to support engineering and project teams in the preparation, review, and coordination of civil site design drawings for hydroelectric infrastructure projects. This role will work with internal engineers and external design consultants to develop drawings that meet project requirements and drafting standards. - Develop civil site drawings and construction documents, primarily using AutoCAD Civil 3D with coordination with engineering. This includes grading, drainage, utility, roadway, geotechnical data, erosion and sediment control, and site layout plans. - Develop initial site plans, including developing existing conditions surfaces from multiple input sources (e.g., bathymetry, surveys, GIS, etc.). - Revise and update drawings based on internal feedback, engineering markups, and field conditions. - Perform quantity takeoffs and assist with development of exhibits and figures in support of construction and permit applications. - Coordinate drawing revisions with engineering, contractors, and stakeholders to maintain consistent and accurate design documentation. - Ensure all designs adhere to applicable codes, standards, and company guidelines. Qualifications - Experience in civil site development. - Proficient in AutoCAD Civil3D, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam. - Proficient in US National CAD Standards. - Solid understanding of drafting principles, construction drawings, and design coordination. - Ability to interpret engineering plans, specifications, and technical documents. - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. - Effective communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally. Requirements - Experience in hydroelectric, power generation, or industrial projects. - Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Drafting, Design, Engineering Technology, or a related field. - Experience working in a fast-paced, project-based environment. • As a Civil Engineer, you will develop the infrastructure behind the next generation of sustainable road power plants and support the entire development process through to international implementation. • Product development: Design innovative infrastructure components and structural solutions for a pioneering ClimateTech technology. • Structural design: Perform structural (static) calculations and size components for demanding dynamic loads encountered in daily operation. • Design & documentation: Produce technical drawings, manufacturing documentation, and scalable installation and implementation concepts. • Interdisciplinary development: Work closely with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulics teams to develop integrated technical solutions. • Materials & standards: Evaluate suitable materials, consider applicable standards, and ensure compliance with relevant safety requirements. • Prototyping & validation: Support development from initial concepts through prototypes and testing phases to real-world pilot projects. • Certification: Assist in preparing ISO and CE certifications, including technical documentation and evidence of compliance. • Project coordination: Coordinate with manufacturing partners, suppliers, contractors, and public stakeholders, and support project implementation. • Technical responsibility: Provide technical oversight and coordination for pilot installations and customer projects.

• Conduct detailed forensic investigations involving structural failures, building damage, construction deficiencies, code-related issues, and causation analyses for residential, commercial, and industrial properties. • Perform on-site inspections to evaluate structural conditions, document observations, collect data, take measurements, and preserve evidence relevant to engineering assessments. • Analyze structural systems utilizing engineering principles, applicable building codes, industry standards, construction documents, and supporting technical data. • Determine the cause, origin, extent, and responsibility of structural failures, property damage, and construction-related defects. • Prepare clear, thorough, and defensible engineering reports, including findings, opinions, conclusions, repair recommendations, and supporting documentation. • Collaborate with clients, attorneys, insurance carriers, contractors, architects, and other stakeholders throughout the investigation and reporting process. • Provide technical consultation and expert opinions during litigation, mediation, arbitration, or insurance claim proceedings. • Deliver deposition and expert witness testimony when required and support legal teams with technical analysis and case preparation. • Manage multiple assignments while maintaining project schedules, budgets, and high-quality deliverables. • Stay current with evolving building codes, engineering standards, forensic methodologies, and industry best practices. • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

• Responsible for performing structural engineering tasks for Civil and Electrical construction projects • Work under supervision of an upper level Engineer or Engineering Team Leader • Collaborate closely with other structural engineers, project teams, and subcontractors • Conduct field surveys and studies to identify practical solutions • Prepare and study technical drawings/specifications • Guide compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements • Inspect installations for conformance to design • Provide training for other technical personnel
