Security Architect - Data, Fabric & AI Security

Role Description - Serve as a senior client-facing Security Architect focused on Data, Fabric, Governance, and AI Security solutions. - Lead technical discovery, architecture workshops, solution design, and pre-sales engagements for Microsoft Fabric, Purview, AI, and secure data modernization initiatives. - Design secure target-state architectures that enable trusted analytics, AI adoption, Copilot readiness, and data governance outcomes. - Advise clients on data security, identity architecture, governance controls, AI risk management, and Zero Trust principles. - Create reusable architecture patterns, standards, reference architectures, assessment methodologies, and delivery guidance to support scalable service delivery. - Act as a trusted technical advisor to clients, sales teams, delivery teams, and executive stakeholders. - Lead client discovery sessions, architecture workshops, technical assessments, and solution design activities. - Design secure architectures for Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, Power BI, Microsoft 365, Azure, and AI-enabled data platforms. - Define identity, access control, RBAC, RLS/CLS, data protection, and Zero Trust architecture patterns. - Architect and implement Microsoft Purview-based governance, classification, data lineage, catalog, DLP, and compliance strategies. - Assess data security risks, oversharing risks, AI risks, governance maturity, and control gaps across client environments. - Design secure AI and Copilot governance frameworks including RAG, agent, model, and data access controls. - Develop architecture diagrams, executive recommendations, proposals, reference architectures, and technical design documentation. - Support solution positioning, technical scoping, proposal development, and executive-level pre-sales conversations. - Validate architecture decisions through design reviews, control mapping, configuration reviews, and proof-of-concept activities. - Create reusable intellectual property including standards, assessment frameworks, implementation guides, and architecture patterns. - Support delivery teams through architecture reviews, design validation, and implementation guidance. - Collaborate with Sales, Cybersecurity, Data & AI, Delivery, and Microsoft stakeholders to ensure successful solution adoption. Qualifications - 8+ years of experience in Security Architecture, Data Security, Cloud Security, Identity, Compliance, or related consulting roles. - Experience with Microsoft Fabric and OneLake security architecture. - Experience with Microsoft Purview Data Security and Governance capabilities. - Experience with Data Governance, Data Lineage, Data Catalog, Data Classification, and Data Quality concepts. - Experience designing Data Security and Secure Data Architecture solutions. - Strong knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, Identity Governance, RBAC, and Zero Trust architecture. - Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 Security, Defender, and Azure Security services. - Experience with AI Security, Copilot Security, and AI Governance concepts. - Experience conducting architecture reviews, threat modeling, risk assessments, and secure design reviews. - Experience leading client-facing workshops, discovery engagements, and technical pre-sales activities. - Strong consulting, communication, presentation, and technical writing skills. - Ability to create architecture diagrams, executive recommendations, and technical solution documentation. Preferred Qualifications - Microsoft certifications such as SC-100, SC-401, SC-300, AZ-500, DP-600, DP-700, AI-102, or AZ-305. - CISSP, CCSP, CISM, CISA, or equivalent advanced security certification. - Experience with Azure Databricks security and governance. - Experience with Power BI governance, semantic models, and enterprise analytics security. - Experience with Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Microsoft Foundry, and AI agents. - Familiarity with Data Estate Management and Information Architecture concepts. - Experience with data mesh, domain-based governance, and enterprise data platform strategies. - Knowledge of NIST AI RMF, MITRE ATLAS, OWASP Top 10 for LLM Applications, and Microsoft Zero Trust. - Experience supporting highly regulated industries such as financial services, healthcare, insurance, or government.
