• Design, build, and maintain RESTful web services and modern single-page applications • Develop scalable microservices on AWS that support LIMS workflows • Write clean, well-tested code following TDD practices • Participate in code and design reviews; give and receive constructive feedback • Work closely with product, QA, and other engineers in an Agile/Scrum team • Help improve coding standards, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps automation • Troubleshoot issues across the stack and support applications through their full lifecycle • Communicate progress, trade-offs, and technical decisions clearly to the team

• Design and build high-quality RL environments that simulate real working environments end to end. • Develop agents for the tasks within those environments and iterate until they are efficient and production-ready. • Partner with the research team to scope which environments to build and why, staying ahead of future demand rather than only meeting present needs. • Own the backend and infrastructure layers that make environments reliable and scalable. • Help set engineering standards for a zero-to-one team as the RL function grows.

• Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications based on business requirements and customer specifications; participate in requirements gathering, design sessions, and solution reviews to deliver scalable, high-performing, and integrated solutions that support current and future business needs. • Apply DevSecOps and Agile development practices throughout the software development lifecycle, utilizing CI/CD pipelines and tools such as GitHub, GitHub Copilot, and Jenkins; support end-to-end QA testing, deployment, and release activities. • Develop and support enterprise APIs and integrations with critical business applications, leveraging mainframe optimization and modernization techniques to improve performance, scalability, reliability, and operational efficiency. • Monitor application and system performance, analyze and optimize solutions, troubleshoot and resolve issues, maintain technical documentation, and stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and software engineering best practices. • Collaborate closely with project managers, business analysts, architects, and development teams across local and remote locations; demonstrate strong problem-solving, leadership, communication, and independent decision-making skills while driving innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.
