Role Description The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that products are designed and manufactured to meet or exceed customer requirements. The Quality Engineer is also responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality standards, procedures, and processes. Duties and Responsibilities - Develop and implement quality assurance plans, standards, and procedures - Monitor and analyze product and performance data - Ensure that products meet customer requirements - Investigate customer complaints and take corrective action as necessary - Ensure that products conform to applicable standards - Develop and implement process control systems - Provide technical guidance and support to production and design departments - Participate in design reviews and provide feedback - Manage and coordinate quality assurance activities - Monitor supplier performance and ensure suppliers meet quality standards, including conducting supplier audits and assessing supplier quality systems - Develop and maintain metrics to monitor the performance of products and processes - Identify and analyze trends in customer satisfaction, quality, and performance - Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions - Establish and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers - Investigate and resolve quality issues - Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards - Participate in continuous improvement projects Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree - 3+ years of experience in quality assurance or quality management Essential Functions - Develop, maintain, and continuously improve the Quality Management System in compliance with relevant industry standards - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain quality specifications, procedures, and standards for products and processes - Conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve quality issues in a timely and effective manner - Develop and implement quality improvement plans, including corrective and preventive actions, to address quality issues and to prevent their recurrence - Participate in design reviews, product development, and manufacturing processes to ensure that quality requirements are incorporated from the early stages of product development - Plan and execute internal and external quality audits, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations - Provide training and support to team members on quality tools, methodologies, and best practices - Ensure all safety regulations are followed and maintain compliance with company, local, state, and federal regulations and guidelines Competencies - Strong communication skills, both verbally and written - Team player mentality - Ability to make decisions - Ability to manage multiple projects at one time - Attention to detail Supervisory Responsibility This position could have the following positions reporting to it: Quality Analyst, Quality Coordinator, or Quality Technician. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time salary position, and hours/days of work are decided by production schedules and your reporting manager. Travel Travel will be moderate and would be primarily local during the business day. Role Description Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions is currently seeking Mid to Senior Level Water Resources Engineers/Project Managers with Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) experience to join our highly collaborative team. The successful candidate will provide FEMA NFIP program leadership associated with flood risk analysis, mapping, and related services on projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic, Midwest, and Northeast U.S. regions. This position will be an integral member supporting contracts with FEMA, including FEMA Headquarters and Regions 1, 2, 3, and/or 5 as well as numerous individual state floodplain mapping programs. This position offers potential for development in a great working environment and the opportunity to apply the latest technology to help our clients solve their most challenging problems. This role has the opportunity to be remote from any location within the US.
