Role Description Our client in the UK is looking for a sole Web Developer, you will take full ownership of all client websites, managing development, hosting, maintenance, and support. You'll work across both agency-built and client-owned websites, ensuring they remain secure, high-performing, and optimised. This is a proactive, hands-on role for someone who enjoys taking ownership and continuously improving how websites are built and maintained. Success in the first 90 days looks like taking full ownership of the existing website portfolio, responding fast and confidently to any downtime or issue, and starting to put forward improvements (tools, plugins, AI) that lift the quality and speed of delivery. - Own the full lifecycle of all client websites, including development, hosting, and maintenance. - Build and maintain websites across Webflow, WordPress, and other CMS platforms. - Respond quickly to website issues, downtime, and technical support requests. - Optimise website performance, security, and user experience. - Collaborate with the marketing team to build high-converting landing pages. - Recommend and implement new tools, plugins, and AI solutions to improve delivery. Qualifications - 5+ years' web development experience with strong front-end and back-end skills. - Strong experience with Webflow and WordPress; additional CMS/framework experience is advantageous. - Experience managing hosting, deployments, website security, and maintenance. - Understanding of landing page optimisation and websites that support paid advertising. - Proactive, self-motivated, and confident working independently. - Passion for new technologies, plugins, and AI tools.

• Build and maintain a React / TypeScript frontend at real scale • Own complex UI components: route search, filtering, map-based visualization, data tables, and comparison views • Work closely with backend engineers on API contracts (REST / BFF patterns) • Integrate third-party tools including Auth0, PostHog, Sentry, and mapping/routing engines • Maintain high performance standards — lazy loading, code splitting, bundle optimization • Leverage AI-assisted development tools (Claude) as part of your daily workflow • Ship via GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines • Participate in architecture and UX decisions — your opinion will carry weight

• Lead and mentor a team of React developers, providing technical guidance and conducting code reviews • Design and implement scalable micro-frontend architecture using modern frontend tooling • Develop high-quality frontend solutions using React, TypeScript, and state management (Redux, Zustand, Context API) • Build and maintain reusable UI components, shared libraries, and design systems • Collaborate with backend teams on integrations via REST APIs and GraphQL • Ensure best practices in performance, security, and accessibility • Contribute to CI/CD, automated testing (Vitest, React Testing Library, Playwright), and code quality improvements • Utilize modern development workflows, including AI-assisted tools (e.g., Copilot, Bmad workflow)
