• Define AI feature specifications upfront — including acceptance criteria, evaluation metrics, prompt contracts, and expected behaviors • Own end-to-end AI feature delivery across the full AI SDLC: spec definition, prototyping, development, evaluation, deployment, and production monitoring • Build production-grade LLM and agentic AI applications using Spring AI • Architect and operate AWS AI infrastructure alongside core AWS services • Design and implement scalable microservices and distributed systems in Java, TypeScript, and Python • Build CI/CD pipelines for AI workloads • Drive AI-specific operational practices: observability, drift detection, quality scoring • Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders • Mentor engineers, conduct thorough code reviews, and champion engineering excellence

Role Description Client is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to help build a next-generation enterprise integration platform from the ground up. This team is leading a strategic initiative to re-platform away from MuleSoft and establish a scalable, cloud-native integration ecosystem built on modern microservices architecture. This role is focused on building the platform that enables integrations—not developing the integrations themselves. You will design and develop the foundational services, SDKs, observability capabilities, workflow orchestration, and platform tooling that enable internal teams to rapidly integrate with enterprise systems such as Salesforce, SAP, Coupa, and Kinaxis. The platform is currently in early infancy, MVP stage. - Design, build, and enhance core platform services using Python and microservices architectures. - Develop reusable SDKs, wrappers, and platform capabilities that accelerate integration development. - Build and support platform components including: - Event streaming and messaging (Kafka) - API management and governance - Secrets and configuration management - Observability, monitoring, and telemetry solutions - Workflow orchestration capabilities - Drive platform reliability, performance, and operational excellence. - Contribute to OpenTelemetry implementation and observability strategy. Qualifications - 7+ years of software engineering experience with strong Python development expertise. - Experience building cloud-native applications and microservices platforms. - Hands-on experience with Kafka or other event-driven architectures. - Strong understanding of API design, API gateways, and integration platform concepts. - Experience with monitoring, observability, and telemetry tooling such as Grafana and OpenTelemetry. - Knowledge of secrets management, configuration management, and platform security best practices. - Experience building developer-facing platforms, frameworks, SDKs, or shared engineering services. - Strong understanding of scalability, resiliency, and distributed systems design.

• You will join the Search and Data Services team, working on the next generation of our large-scale search and reporting service and its associated infrastructure. • You will play a key role in evolving our systems to reliably scale 10x beyond today’s load. This includes building a streaming data reports pipeline and improving search relevancy, data indexing, and cost control for our high-throughput, event-driven system. • In your day-to-day work, you’ll build new features, improve existing systems, and evolve data pipelines, with a strong focus on scalability, testing, and maintainability. • You’ll be involved in the development lifecycle, from design and implementation decisions to testing strategies and backlog prioritization. You’ll also collaborate across engineering through code reviews and architectural discussions. • Your team provides engineering support when issues escalate beyond our support team.
