Role Description Responsible for the collection, preparation and reporting of statistical data, including technical support for tools and other analytic processes used for the property and casualty lines of insurance business across the Farmers enterprise. - Communicates with Regulatory Affairs, actuaries, accountants, product managers and I/T staff regarding data requirements and business requirements involving new reports, applications, regulatory data calls or data requests. - Collects and organizes statistical data for internal and/or external reporting purposes. - Evaluates information being reported for consistency, completeness, accuracy and reasonableness. - Develops and prepares reports using data from various sources of information. - Maintains and provides support for existing tools and applications used in the analyses of information. - Maintains and updates information necessary for data dictionary and other metadata requirements. - Promotes safety at all times and complies with safety/ergonomic standards as outlined in relevant company published manuals. • Assess and prioritize requests together with the Data Analysts team, considering complexity, effort and business impact. • Support communication between PMs and the data team, ensuring clarity on deadlines, scope and technical feasibility. • Guide and provide technical support to the Data Analysts team, contributing to the development of dashboards, analyses and data layers in Looqbox. • Conduct regular 1:1s with Data Analysts to monitor technical development and performance. • Work alongside Data Analysts and PMs on a daily basis, serving as the senior technical reference for the data team. • Ensure that clients' objectives and needs are correctly translated into metrics, KPIs and data requirements by the team. • Guide and review more complex exploratory and ad hoc analyses (cohorts, funnel, segmentations, performance variations, root-cause), acting directly on the most critical cases. • Define guidelines and ensure consistency of the semantic metrics layer (definitions, business rules, dimensions) and the team's documentation. • Establish and review data visualization standards and the quality of the team's deliverables.
