Role Description This is a remote position. Our client is looking for a Part-Time Customer Service Representative to assist customers using their watersports rental services through phone, text, and email. They operate in the outdoor recreation industry and have expanded their app-enabled, self-service rental model across multiple U.S. communities in recent years. The ideal candidate is approachable, solution-oriented, and confident communicating with customers through different channels. They should be able to understand customer concerns, provide clear guidance, and create a positive experience even when resolving unexpected rental or service issues. Responsibilities - Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries through phone calls, text messages, and email. - Assist customers with questions related to rentals, equipment access, accounts, procedures, and general service information. - Investigate customer concerns and provide practical, accurate solutions. - Maintain a friendly, patient, and professional phone demeanor. - Guide customers through basic troubleshooting steps when they experience difficulties using the rental service. - Communicate policies, instructions, and next steps in a clear and easy-to-understand manner. - Escalate technical, billing, safety, or operational concerns when additional support is required. - Follow up with customers when necessary to confirm that their concerns have been resolved. - Document relevant customer interactions and maintain organized support records. - Learn the company’s rental processes, services, and customer support procedures. - Collaborate with other team members to communicate recurring customer issues or service improvements. - Complete additional administrative or customer support tasks based on business needs and individual capabilities. Qualifications - Experience supporting customers in hospitality, tourism, recreational services, rentals, travel, consumer services, or outdoor activities is preferred. - Familiarity with app-based services, online reservations, memberships, or self-service rental systems is an advantage. - Previous experience working remotely for a U.S.-based company is desirable. - Experience in a startup, small business, or fast-changing environment is beneficial. - Familiarity with customer support platforms, internet-based phone systems, SMS tools, or shared inboxes is preferred. - Interest in watersports, outdoor recreation, or customer-focused lifestyle brands is a plus. - Ability to identify recurring customer issues and communicate useful feedback to the team. Requirements - Previous experience in customer service, customer support, guest services, or a similar client-facing role. - Excellent spoken and written English communication skills. - Strong phone presence and the ability to communicate calmly and confidently. - Experience assisting customers through phone, email, text, or other digital communication channels. - Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions when addressing customer concerns. - Friendly, patient, and empathetic approach to customer interactions. - Ability to explain instructions clearly to customers with different levels of technical familiarity. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. - Ability to manage multiple conversations and priorities efficiently. - Comfortable learning new applications, systems, and service procedures. - Ability to work independently in a remote environment. - Reliable internet connection, computer equipment, and a professional workspace. - Availability to work on a part-time basis. - Must be located in Latin America.
