Staff Software Development Engineer – Agentic AI/ML
CVS Health
• Develop a vision and formulate implementation plans to achieve end goals • Design and implement complex software solutions for APIs, microservices, CI/CD pipelines, and real-time streaming on cloud platforms such as Azure or GCP • Conduct research on emerging technologies, design principles, and development frameworks • Provide technical guidance in software design and development activities • Oversee the lifecycle process—including design, analysis, review, and testing results • Lead the design, development, and optimization of AI/ML models for various use cases • Perform model training, evaluation, and fine-tuning with consideration of constraints and opportunities posed by legacy architectures • Partner with teams across functions and provide expert solutions to multiple complex technical projects/initiatives • Establish and drive execution of technical direction, standards, guidelines, and methodologies • Work to improve existing test automation processes, enhancing efficiency and reducing manual intervention
Job Requirements
- 7+ years of relevant experience designing and building software applications
- Expertise in modern programming languages such as Java, Python, FastAPI
- Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL), NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cosmos DB)
- Experience with messaging systems (Apache Kafka, MQ)
- Experience with container orchestration frameworks (Kubernetes, Docker)
- 5+ years of experience with front-end frameworks such as Angular, React, Vue.js, jQuery, and CSS framework Bootstrap
- 5+ years of experience with Azure or GCP cloud applications/services
- 5+ years leading software development projects, including setting project goals, monitoring progress, tracking milestones, communicating with stakeholders, and mentoring junior developers
- In-depth understanding of APIs and microservices-based architecture
- 3+ years of experience in AI and agentic solution development
