Software Expert, CAD and Engineering
Weekday (YC W21)
• Support a high-priority data collection initiative designed to enhance AI systems interpretation of complex engineering software interfaces • Gather high-quality screen recordings and detailed UI annotations from experienced professionals within real digital environments • Ensure screen annotations are accurate, structured, and fully aligned with guidelines • Capture realistic, expert-level engineering workflows during screen recordings • Complete tasks efficiently while maintaining strict quality standards • Collect data that is scalable and usable for advanced AI research and development
Job Requirements
- Record screen sessions demonstrating specific engineering tasks, with clear verbal narration explaining each step and decision
- Annotate screenshots by drawing precise bounding boxes around relevant UI components
- Follow structured staging instructions to configure required software states before recording
- Use a custom capture tool to document workflows accurately and consistently
- Strictly adhere to detailed guidelines to ensure data accuracy and usability
- Strong hands-on familiarity with professional engineering and CAD tools such as AutoCAD Mechanical, SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, Vivado
- Be highly detail-oriented and comfortable following precise technical instructions
- Be able to work independently and meet tight deadlines
- Have access to a physical Mac device and be willing to create a fresh macOS user profile if required
- Experience with data collection, annotation, or QA initiatives is nice to have
- Prior experience recording or documenting engineering workflows is nice to have
- Comfort adapting to new tools and staged digital environments is nice to have

Role Description The ZScaler Senior Consultant will play a key role at True Zero and for our customers.
