Director of Patient Navigation

**Key Responsibilities** - Serve as the primary point of contact for patients newly diagnosed with cancer or experiencing disease progression, guiding them through available treatment options and emerging approaches - Help patients and their families evaluate and onboard with concierge medicine providers, including managing the application and acceptance process - Provide holistic coordination that extends beyond the medical - supporting patients in managing family dynamics, logistics, and the emotional toll of a diagnosis - Translate complex scientific and clinical information into clear, accessible guidance for patients and caregivers (without providing direct medical advice) - Stay current on advances in genomic sequencing, personalized therapies, combination treatment approaches, and the evolving landscape of precision oncology - Maintain detailed records of patient interactions and outcomes to support organizational learning and program improvement

Job Requirements

  • Required Qualifications**
  • Advanced degree in a life sciences discipline (e.g., molecular biology, genetics, oncology, pharmacology, biomedical sciences, or a closely related field)
  • Foundational understanding of cancer biology, genomics, and modern treatment modalities including immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and personalized medicine
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills - able to convey complex scientific concepts to patients and families with empathy and clarity
  • Demonstrated ability to work with individuals under significant emotional distress; prior experience in patient advocacy, genetic counseling, clinical research coordination, or similar roles is highly valued
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple patient relationships simultaneously with meticulous follow-through
  • Self-directed and comfortable working in a fast-paced, early-stage environment with evolving processes
  • Desirable Qualifications**
  • Doctoral-level training in a relevant scientific discipline
  • Prior experience in patient navigation, oncology social work, genetic counseling, or concierge medicine coordination
  • Familiarity with the clinical trial landscape and emerging cancer treatment paradigms
  • Experience working with high-net-worth or high-profile individuals in a service-oriented capacity
