You will receive 18 remote workdays per quarter to use at your discretion, subject to manager approval. For example, you may choose to work in the office 4 days per week and take one remote day weekly (typically 13 weeks per quarter), leaving 5 additional remote days to be used as needed. We're seeking an Associate, Content Strategy & Operations to help scale our Global Private Wealth Marketing team by strengthening how we create, manage, and distribute content to wealth audiences. This area is a growing and important part of our team. This role sits at the intersection of editorial, project management, and marketing operations. The Associate will partner with marketers and subject matter experts to develop thought leadership and marketing content while managing the end-to-end processes that bring content from idea to publication. They will help build repeatable workflows, improve collaboration across teams, and ensure content is delivered efficiently, consistently, and at the highest quality. The ideal candidate is someone who is - A thoughtful writer and organized project coordinator who enjoys bringing structure to creative work. - Comfortable drafting content, guiding review cycles, documenting workflows, and finding practical ways to improve how content is produced and shared through better processes and technology. - Familiar with editorial calendars, content production workflows, and review processes across teams. - Comfortable using content management systems, project management platforms, and marketing automation tools. Experience with Seismic and Monday.com preferred. - Skilled in writing, editing, and proofreading, with the ability to translate complex topics into clear, engaging content. - Curious about content operations, emerging marketing technologies, and process improvement. - Interested in using AI tools to support research, editing, content development, or workflow efficiency. - Familiar with private markets, the private wealth channel, and regulated financial marketing environments strongly preferred. What you will do: Content Development & Editorial Production - Partner with marketers, investment professionals, and subject matter experts to develop thought leadership, educational, and marketing content for HarbourVest's Global Private Wealth audiences. - Develop content briefs, conduct research, create outlines, draft articles, and coordinate revisions throughout the editorial process. - Edit and proofread content for clarity, consistency, accuracy, and alignment with HarbourVest's brand, messaging, and editorial standards. - Coordinate multiple content projects while supporting timelines and quality. - Guide content through review and approval with marketing, investment teams, sales, legal, compliance, and regional stakeholders. Content Operations & Workflow Management - Support and improve the end-to-end content production process, from intake and planning through publication and promotion. - Maintain editorial calendars, production schedules, project timelines, and content pipelines across multiple initiatives. - Create and document repeatable workflows, standard operating procedures, and best practices that improve efficiency and consistency. - Track project status, manage version control, and help stakeholders stay informed on content progress. - Maintain content inventories, metadata, and organizational standards that improve discoverability, reuse, and governance. - Identify opportunities to reduce bottlenecks and make collaboration easier across cross-functional teams. Content Distribution & Lifecycle Management - Prepare content for publication across digital channels, making sure assets are complete and ready to use. - Develop supporting promotional assets for published content, including social media copy, email templates, landing page copy, internal communications, and sales enablement materials. - Coordinate publication schedules and work with digital marketing and client marketing teams to support content distribution across channels. - Help repurpose content into multiple formats, including shorter articles, social content, presentations, videos, and other marketing assets. - Maintain an inventory of published content and recommend updates, refreshes, re-purposing opportunities, and retirement of outdated assets to help extend the value of HarbourVest's content library. Process Improvement & Marketing Technology - Identify opportunities to improve content production through clearer workflows, collaboration tools, automation, and AI-enabled capabilities where appropriate. - Support the implementation and adoption of content management systems, project management tools, and other marketing technologies. - Document processes and maintain resources that support consistent execution. - Monitor content production metrics and recommend improvements based on performance data and team feedback. Education Preferred - Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), Bachelor of Science (B.S), or equivalent experience Experience - 3–5 years of experience in content marketing, editorial, communications, marketing operations, or a related role. Base Salary Range $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 This USD base salary range represents only one component of total compensation for this role and is provided in accordance with local requirements. This role is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, which is determined based on individual and overall firm performance. In addition to salary and bonus, total compensation may include eligibility for long-term reward programs and a comprehensive total rewards package that may include retirement, health, insurance, paid time off, and wellness programs. Our total rewards offerings are influenced by several business factors, and eligibility for certain components will vary by position and geography. Please note the posted ranges do not apply outside the U.S. and should not be converted to other currencies as a proxy for compensation in other countries.
